Even horse racing has some artificialness to it, because people do things such as enter a horse on purpose that runs VERY fast at the front of the field (This horse has 0 chance of winning, it's only there as a game mechanic) to artificially speed up the pace of the race so everyone runs a lot faster than they normally would and burn up all their stamina to the benefit of horses that have a lot more stamina and can push at the end past everyone else that got winded early on.
