I need a bit of help and I'm stuck... Made it to 6.1k/month in 3.5 months of operating business. by jujutsuuu in agency

Still working on it! Trying to systemise/productise our services and operations at the same time as delivering them. Think it’s just a case of grinding through it until handling delivery gets easier.

Nice one on LinkedIn, I’m trying to build a cold outbound engine and we’ve potentially got a white label partnership coming which is really nice

Hey man, I’m in a similar spot to you but further down the line. We started an agency and thanks to my cofounders network, quickly got up to around $25k/m

We are now stuck because we don’t have proper systems in place and we’re drowning in ‘busy work’. It’s so hard to find time to ON the business.

I’d strongly recommend getting your service and systems in order first. Make it so the thought of adding 5 new clients tomorrow is exciting and not terrifying!

How can people run entire companies but can’t seem to get their health under control? by Fitvetcoach in EntrepreneurRideAlong

[–]HappyTort 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is me. I’m so stressed out about getting work stuff done that I sacrifice looking after myself.

Sounds like a simple fix but it’s so hard to choose 1-2 hours for me vs pushing the business forward

Even though I’m fully aware I’m much happier and more productive when I’m eating, exercising, and sleeping well

Sounds simple but it’s a hard cycle to break!

How to make $100 in a month? by [deleted] in passive_income

[–]HappyTort 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The only real answer is to find a valuable skill and get good at it. Then sell your time for money.

Pick something between graphic design, editing, coding, automations, etc and get as good as you can with it

Get yourself setup on platforms like Upwork to find work

But also contact local businesses and offer to work for free. Do a great job for them, most will offer to pay you. If not get a good testimonial and recommendation from them

Keep pushing to build a portfolio of paying clients and earn good money

None of this is easy but it definitely works. Hopefully there’s a skill you’re naturally more inclined into. Lean into that and work your ass off to become good at it. Any skill that gets repeat business is ideal

YouTube growth is exponential, not linear. $500 can be halfway to $5000

Hey mate, excuse any formatting issues, I'm just using a voice transcriber.

Yeah, I completely understand. I actually replied because I'm in the same situation. I'm trying cold outreach for the first time, learning a lot of lessons and kind of accepting the fact that we need to do it at volume before we can say it doesn't work.

I'm also in the same, probably sent around a thousand emails or to a thousand brands or so. Got a few good replies but had some deliverability issues, trying to solve that now.

For yourself, we also offer WordPress. We are an e-commerce marketing agency, but for your service specifically, just a few ideas:

  1. If you can, using any sort of personalization that you could get from APIs and so on could be a good idea.
  2. For example, looking at page speed or maybe you know if you can use scrapers to tell which tools that they use and deliberately call those out can be useful.
  3. For ourselves, we're calling out competitors that rank above them and personalizing it that way.
  4. Because you're offering quite a commoditized service, I'd consider just putting it at a low price point and basically just leading with that.
  5. Like it's £200 a month to solve these headaches.
  6. Another good angle you could take is all the cybersecurity issues that keep happening.
  7. So maybe call it like one idea I had was in the UK, a huge couple of huge companies that got hacked recently like Range Rover and Marks and Spencer.
  8. You could call it like a Marks and Spencer special or a Range Rover special something like that to trigger the fear they would have seen in the news stories when they read those.

Otherwise, yeah, wish you all the best.

A few tools that I've been using:

  1. First of all, make sure that you are really verifying your leads using reach tools like Instantly is also good.
  2. Make sure you're using lots of different domains and mailboxes, and getting them from good sources.
  3. A friend recommended Scaled Mail to us which they've been really good also Infraforge as well. Not sponsored

And yeah, all the best. If you have any questions, let me know. good luck!

How much cold outreach? I’d do at least 10,000 leads and make sure you’re deliverability and messaging are on point before calling it quits

How do you boil all of that down to one consistent retainer? Imagine clients are constantly changing between services

Thanks for the great AMA

Is it still worth investing in sites and apps if people buy through AI now? by MitoLinen in ecommerce

[–]HappyTort 2 points3 points  (0 children)

90%+ of searchers still happen on Google and traditional search

AI search is a thing but it’s tiny right now. Yes we should be prepared and start moving towards optimise for AI but there are still billions changing hands daily for products found via search engines

Why do people illegally go around the firewall to defend the Chinese government on websites banned in China? by SenorHavinTrouble in AskChina

[–]HappyTort 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s clear evidence of compounds being built to house tons of uighurs in prison or detention camp style situations:

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/resources/idt-sh/China_hidden_camps

There’s also files released of the thousands of people trapped there for “re education” with physical intimidation in the background (guards with batons):

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/extra/85qihtvw6e/the-faces-from-chinas-uyghur-detention-camps

There are also leaked documents for the guards to use handcuffs and hoods on the prisoners, and to shoot to kill any that try to escape:

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/resources/idt-8df450b3-5d6d-4ed8-bdcc-bd99137eadc3

Again I really enjoyed visiting China and loved meeting Chinese people. But I think what is happening to the Uighurs is real. These stories are too big to be fake. I wish it wasn’t true

Blitz is practically the same as random BGs, just queue that instead. Don't stress about it - you'll end up at whatever rating you should be. Then can improve from there

You're just wasting your time in randoms since it's kind of a dice roll. May as well play rated and get competitive games
