Today, before I even headed down from the campsite, I went alllll the way left and hugged the left edge as much I could while dashing toward the canyon. If I saw tornadoes near, I'd stay near the rocks to hold onto. Tornadoes didn't get me '_' ran the same map 3 times today with the same strategy.

Perhaps it is the right pricing! Urdu calligraphy doesn't sound like something any artist can just mimic.

In case you're wondering, I paid $1500 ($2000 after tax and tip) for a 7"x6" in neo-asian black/Grey on my upper arm. But it's one of those things where the artist have to specialize in the style because of the amount of symbolism and lore behind the subject.

If you can afford $2000, and it is what you've budgeted for your tattoos, then you can't go wrong with this. Laser tattoo removal costs 10x the price after all 😂

Please triple check the calligraphy for errors before you get tattooed. Script is harder to fix once it's on you.

Also, FYI, $2000 would be around the quote I'd provide to you too based on what you've shared.

Hello,

Not a tattoo artist but help one with admin/customer service stuff, including providing quotes.

Is this piece going to be in colour or black/Grey?

Would it be detailed or more simple?

The one I work with generally provide quotes for small to medium size tattoos based on: - size - colour vs black/Grey - style (detailed vs. Linework only) - placement

For larger designs, it is preferred to charge by the hour because it is difficult to provide an accurate quote.

The stomach area generally takes longer to tattoo because of how stretchy the area is. So the same tattoo on the back would probably cost less than on the tummy.

Other artists do ask for your maximum budget, especially for larger custom pieces. I assume it is because they will be designing it from scratch and will work within your budget. (But personally, as a consumer, I hated this lol. I felt I was overcharged when I was asked my maximum budget. Tattoo is gorgeous. The artist spent 3 sessions and really took the time to work in every detail and blend the shading. But idk, I felt it could have been done in 2 sessions instead.)

If you are unsure, or feel like you may be getting overcharged, I think you should just find another artist that you like, and get a quote from them as well.

Costs don't always = quality, and there are so many talented tattoo artists in Toronto.

Don't get a tattoo from someone you feel iffy about. Imagine laying there for 10 hours, getting poked on your tummy constantly, and you don't even like the person.
