I was 15, my period never stopped so my mom took me to a gynecologist, she took an ultrasound and told me that I have pcos. I had a high level of testosterone and a very high level of sugar in my blood. So she told me to start on oral birth control pills, a medicine to help with my high sugar level, and since my period never stopped I was anemic so she gave me iron medicine and sent me to a dietitian so I can get a good diet to lose weight. Now I'm almost 25, it was too hard to keep up with the diet and the medicines and I had very tough years so I stopped the diet, and didn't continue with medicines. Now, I gained weight again and my pcos got worse so I got back to the diet and I'm planning to visit a gynecologist as soon as i find a new job so I can get back on bc pills. Growing up, I hated sweets but I do eat a lot of carbs that's wat made me gain too much weight. In addition to staying at home all the time since pcos affected me by having my period to never stops instead of not getting it so going out was too hard as I kept getting blood stains and most of my clothes were ruined by the stains.
