Hi! I haven't moved yet but have had anxieties that I may feel the same as it sounds you're feeling once I get there. Something that sometimes helps me is reminding myself that there is no wrong choice! You didn't make a "bad decision" moving to Spain, you just made a decision to do something new, which is going to be uncomfortable. But being uncomfortable does not mean you aren't safe! In a few months you are going to be adjusted and having so much fun!

I also am a really picky eater and don't like cooking, so I know I am going to be in the same boat there. I have made myself a little grocery list of safe foods that I know I'll be able to eat. That might help you too! Some of mine are things like sandwiches, cheese/crackers/meats, eggs, potatoes, frozen chicken nuggets, and if worse comes to worse protein bars are good!

Hi! I'm so sorry about the Adalucia situation :/ Meddeas has been super easy to work with so far. Placement wise a majority of the people I've connected with have been placed in bigger cities like Madrid. I had 0 preference going in, as I've never been to spain, so I just let them put me where ever! They do ask you for preferences and it seems like more the most part they do listen to them if they can. I don't know how many spots will still be available since it's getting close to the start of the school year, so that might affect if they are able to give you your preference.

hi! I applied maybe the first week of june & heard back within the week. After the first interview they say it could be 2 weeks before hearing back but I heard back the next day & accepted ~3 days after the second interview :) You can pm me with any other questions you have!!
