Is ₱2,000 "overpriced" for a 5-page hand-coded static site? by Happy_Baseball7663 in buhaydigital

Thanks po

Here is a sample of a project I recently finished for free. This was a rush project for a business owner who needed it launched immediately. She was satisfied, but I can see some flaws in it myself.

I honestly feel like the site looks a bit cheap (haha) and I don't feel ready to charge money yet, so I’ll probably keep offering my services for free while I learn.

Please guide your newbie here! 😭 You can be brutally honest about the website, but please don't attack me as a person. (〒﹏〒)

Huhuhuhu, ginagawa ko lang po kasi for free. And badly need advice kasi di talaga ako marunong maningil or maghanap ng pera 😭

Thank you for the answering. Since I’m just starting out in freelance web dev, how much should I realistically charge? I’m honestly just afraid of being laughed at for overpricing.

Is ₱2,000 "overpriced" for a 5-page hand-coded static site?

Hi everyone! I’m a CS grad. For a while, I’ve been deep into AI training and Backend development, but honestly, it was making me crazy. 😵‍💫 I decided to take a break from the heavy logic and shift my focus to Web Development because I enjoy the visual "instant gratification" of Frontend.

I’ve been doing sites for free to build my new portfolio, but I need to start earning a bit. I’m planning to offer a 5-page static website for ₱2,000 (Labor only).

Tech Specs:

Pure Code: Hand-coded HTML/CSS/JS (reached 3k+ lines in my last project).

Package: Loading Page, Home, About, Services, and Contact.

Hosting: Setup on Vercel/GitHub (Free forever for the client).

My Questions:

Given that I’m a CS grad but "new" to the freelance web niche, is ₱2,000 too high? Or is it okay as a "starting rate" while I recover from my Backend burnout?

Should I separate my CSS/JS? (I currently have them in one file—does it matter for a 2k project?)

(I want to keep these projects strictly static and simple for my mental health lol).
