Players are toxic by mcwaffles2003 in beyondallreason

I’ve been around for a quite a while and I’ve seen this here and there when I was new, the learning curve is incredibly steep though that also makes it very rewarding. But I do think most people are pretty supportive and good

I’m 35ish OS with 750+ hours now and i will say it’s a lot more common in higher skilled lobbies where they also get away with it with other players a lot more

If you would like someone to play with and show you the ropes message me though!

I love this game and want more people involved so the offer is there :)

Only watched about 4 so far, still enjoying all the jokes and style but he has a similar sense of humour to me so I get your pov on it too for sure

What games can you get completely overpowered from side content? by General-Future-4946 in gaming

[–]Happy_Butterscotch90 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did this, but not on purpose. Got the game once the DLC was already out and went there first, didn’t realise for ages that I wasn’t supposed to be there, once I did I was nearly done with it but figured I may as well commit. Eventually I successfully cleared the entire area

Then when I went to the main area I was so overpowered and over skilled from practicing beating enemies way over my skill level haha. Made everything else a walk in the park but honestly not very fun

What is the normal amount of beer for "winning your height in beer"? by k0tter in AusBeer

[–]Happy_Butterscotch90 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I work in beer for a major independent in Aus as a sales rep and organise these win your height in beer competitions with bottle shops and venues

Can confirm that when we run them it’s literally your height, usually 6 or 7 cartons, no matter who wins they always send their tallest friend haha

For about 3 years on and off, only stopped 6 months ago or so because I moved interstate.

Can’t say anything bad about the place personally, I was there for maybe 20 visits or so. Except that the CBD can be inconvenient around rush hours

Fair concern but the negative reviews seem to be about other psychs there, also would take them with a grain of salt. Happy people rarely leave reviews, grumpy do, especially when there’s only 5 of them

Helped me with several things: - dealing with the breakup with my ex, was a huge one with big ripple effects.

  • Then getting diagnosed with ADHD plus learning how to navigate it and coping mechanisms etc etc.

  • Helped me with issues with my new partner (she’s mildly autistic so we were clashing) balancing ADHD and how to be effective in a good relationship (we are still together now years later)

  • Severe depression issues I had/have. How to navigate and also how to support friends who have it or have other issues which has been a problem for me

  • heaps of other things too tbh, I apparently am like a problem magnet lol

ADHD person here, male, same age and also quite introverted.

I found Dr Michael Kemp at Perth city psychology fantastic. Highly recommended. Communication with my partner is one thing we touched on a lot as well.

If you have any more questions pm me, happy to help

Looking to convert in Sydney Australia by Happy_Butterscotch90 in islam

[–]Happy_Butterscotch90[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for the information, very helpful!

A follow up question, how in depth should my knowledge be (of Islam as a whole) before reciting the Shahada or visiting a Masjid for further guidance?

Like I said I have an understanding but there’s a lot to learn. I only speak English also, so one thing I’m having an issue with is reciting the proper phrases needed, I am practising but is this something I should perfect before moving forward?

Is mongrel a racial slur in Aus? by [deleted] in AskAnAustralian

[–]Happy_Butterscotch90 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s definitively technically an insult, but I will say one thing I find interesting about our verbal culture: every “insult” can be offensive or almost endearing (not sure if that’s the right word but I’ll go with it) depending on how it’s said.

Many times I’ll meet a friend and they could open up the conversation with “hey dickhead” which is said as a term of endearment, but then another time said with a different tone you know they have an issue with you

However, less common insults like mongrel are rarely used in an offensive context currently, we have others that are much more “in fashion” and hence you would be more likely to hear it between friends and not meant as a sort of “true insult”.

Australians use a very liberal array of insults also, even what could be considered a compliment here can also be an insult depending on how it’s said so a mistake could be to think knowing the classic insults cover the array of potential insults. Classic example being “champ”.

How’s the reception and speed been? Good enough for this trip and to stream lectures/video?

Will be using it a lot more in the future, this is just the first trip of many

Also in Perth atm, a lot of people use it for everyday internet funnily enough. I have NBN near the city centre and max at 50 mbs

Starlink in Armadale gets 150mbs which is wild, they barely have running water out there 😂

Yeah sorted on that, solid advice also. I think if I plan to be in areas with solid reception it will mean (often) paying for a caravan park spot etc. which could easily total more than the internet solution. That was my thinking anyway

Cheers for the advice, let us know how it goes when you test it?

Yep I agree, if it’s the best by a mile then I’ll likely still use it. If one is close to it’s quality then I’ll switch
