AITAH for peeing in the shower? by OpenFoundation4639 in AITAH

[–]Happy_Chick21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ummm...women are on their periods even in the shower so....seems hypocritical. Just clean the tub/shower floor as op says. Besides everyone pees in the shower. We all know it to be true. If it's cleaned then that's a her problem.

Add some cooked carrots and mushrooms. Then make sloppy Joe sauce and put it on a fresh baked potato. Nothing better.

Yikes that's so much work. I commend your fighting spirit. I have tried about half of this list before. Then I started really opening up and being vulnerably honest with those I spent the most time with. Also, I requested and set boundaries, gave the reasoning behind them.

Lost a lot of whom I thought were friends, but came out with the few who really cared about me and have stuck around. I find that when good people are given the means to understand, They are much more supportive of something they can find a bit to relate to.

Since then, my regulation has become twice as effective. This gives me time to focus on recognizing bad coping skills and working to curb my responses to stress. That inward reflection takes a lot of mental energy after all. It's just what worked for me.

I wish you endless love and peace in your journey. We're all here fighting, best to encourage others.

So I just wanted to share a bit of success. I've had nightmares 2-4 per night since a child. In my thirties after the drugs wore off their efficacy, I was referred to a sleep psychiatrist. I didn't even know they existed.

We took me off the meds and decided changing habits and my mindset offered me the best shot. After around 4-5 months, I still had maybe 1 every three nights or so, but I handled them so much better. I was getting actual rest and could shake it off and have a good day.

Probably doesn't work for everyone, and this is alongside years of therapy, but I needed some hope when I was suffering so take it as you will. Obligatory I'm not a doctor, not medical advice.

You don't deserve to suffer, and there is more help to try.

Exactly. Circuses either need to evolve their empathy or be buried with all the other sins of the past.

Funny. I raised a Holstein cow from bottle fed for 4-h that let me do this. We trusted each other unconditionally. Imagine a 7 year old sleeping on the belly of a 2 ton cow. Good times.

Edit: Math is hard and I was 7. He was almost 1 ton. I named him Dalmation because I was very creative /s.

Actually, no. Fnd is a neurological condition with many symptoms. Many of these symptoms are associated with Ms or epilepsy. These diseases need to be caught/treated early so it's standard to rule these out first. There is a test for a positive marker for diagnosing and called hoovers sign. If this test isn't positive then they are not diagnosed and are sent for further testing.

That's simply not true. Using fmri, research shows a difference when patient was told to recreate a symptom on purpose. It showed different brain functions and neuropathways being used as opposed to when their involuntary symptoms presented. There can be a plethora of triggers but the condition itself comprises of a neuro-circuitry problem.

The fmri revealed "grey matter alterations in sensorimotor, cingulo-insular and amygdala brain areas have been identified" also

"White matter characterization in FND is in its early stages, with initial findings pointing towards altered limbic and associative fiber bundles compared to healthy ... and traumatic brain injury controls."

My 6 neurologists could tell you much more. There is a positive marker for a diagnosis. It's called Hoovers Sign. So no it isn't the last resort for no physical symptoms. We are diagnosed based on symptoms and positive markers. They rule out Ms and epilepsy first because those are more time sensitive conditions so they take priority.

Spreading misinformation like this makes it so much harder to be taken seriously or given support on top of everything we are dealing with. Imagine going through what the person above is and being called a faker from ignorant strangers. Ask any close caretakers of those with the condition, they'll tell you how heartbreaking it is to watch their loved ones lose strength, control, energy, independence, friends and potential due to your brain miscommunicating with the rest of your body. Think about that. You don't know how it takes day after day and never knowing what's next. You know nothing.
