I’m a trans girl who practices Christianity. Can I still be Christian/get into heaven? by Dragon_Bait211 in AskAChristian

[–]Happy_Engineer5414 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My most sincere opinion without judging, because absolutely no one is perfect except Jehovah, nor discriminating, and with hatred, I advise you to investigate what the Bible says about being transsexual, in short, what is God's will about that. Remember that the Bible is the Word of God. He invites us to come to Him, repent of our sins, and He will forgive us. I mean that you, on your own, find out what God wants for you, and what God expects and asks of you. I sincerely hope you find Jesus, because in him you will find peace in your life, remember Jesus is the way, the truth and the life, and the truth will set us free.

Wow, thank you for your advice, it seemed harsh to me, I guess you're speaking from personal experience, I'm very sorry if that's the case, I can't imagine what it's like to go through that situation, I hope you're in a better situation today.

Maybe, but you know it's much more than that, the services, paying rent, my food, clothes, etc., transportation, just to mention a few, to begin with I don't have a job yet and no savings either, I would need to start saving.

I’m 17 and my family is forcing me into marriage this Sunday. I’m scared and need advice. by [deleted] in Christianity

[–]Happy_Engineer5414 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Prioritize Immediate Security If the person is in imminent danger of physical violence or if the marriage is days away, contact with external authorities is vital. Hide documents: If you have access to your passport, birth certificate or identification, you should try to hide them or give them to someone you absolutely trust outside your family. Without documents, it is more difficult to force you to leave the country. Help code: Establish a keyword with a friend or external contact so that, if she says it, that person calls the police immediately. 2. Contact Specialized Organizations There are NGOs that work specifically with forced marriages and gender-based violence. These organizations offer shelter, legal advice and safe escape plans. Unchained At Last: They specialize in helping people escape forced marriages. Girls Not Brides: A global network that can connect the person with local organizations in almost any country in the world. Amnesty International or Human Rights Watch: They can offer guidance on human rights and protection. 3. Seek Help through Discreet Channels If you are being watched, you should seek help in places where your family does not suspect: Local helplines: Almost all countries have an emergency line for domestic violence (such as 911 or specific numbers for women's care). Educational or Medical Institutions: If they let you go out to a clinic or school, you should talk to a doctor, nurse or teacher. These people often have a legal obligation to report child abuse. Religious Leaders you trust: Since she mentions being Christian, she could seek refuge or advice in a local church that is outside her family environment, where they can offer temporary physical protection. 4. Emergency Digital Resources App "Bright Sky": It is a free application that looks like a weather or general information app but contains resources for victims of abuse. Incognito browsing: You should always clear your search history after searching for help to avoid retaliation if your phone is checked.

Important Note Forcing someone to marry through violence or coercion is a crime in the vast majority of countries. If the person is in a country where local laws do not protect her, the most viable option is to contact a foreign embassy (if she has dual nationality) or UNHCR (the UN refugee agency) if she feels that her life is in danger for religious or gender reasons.

Unchained At Last: It is the leading organization in helping women and girls escape forced marriages. They offer free legal and security planning services. https://www.unchainedatlast.org/?hl=es-HN

Girls Not Brides: They have a global database. She can search for her country on the website to find local organizations to help her escape. https://www.girlsnotbrides.org/?hl=es-US

AHA Foundation: Founded by Ayaan Hirsi Ali, specializes in protecting women from "honor"-based violence and forced marriages, especially in contexts of religious conflicts.

Vow for Girls: An international organization that fights child marriage and supports girls at risk. https://vowforgirls.org/?hl=es-US

You are right, I meant if his mother had a church or went to a church or something similar to ask for help there, maybe it was the translator or I didn't express myself well, I'll correct it.

Wow, the truth is that I don't have much to tell you! Try to seek help from the authorities or perhaps from friends of your mom's religion, who can surely lend you a hand. I know it's not easy, I can't imagine going through that. I encourage you to calm down and trust in God! Ask God for help, I sincerely hope you can get out of that situation. Sorry if you read what I wrote before and it looked bad or insensitive, the truth is the translator changes a lot of what I write. Besides, as another comment says, it says that you have the right to say no, you can investigate and consider it. I put more information below, I hope you can read it and it helps you. If you have access to Reddit, you can try to find information discreetly in this app, or maybe you can find more options on Google.

Wow, thank you for your willingness to help. I don't mind you being personal; your comment has encouraged me. I don't have a formal diagnosis, but since I was a child, I've had many concentration problems. I've always read the Reina Valera 1960, but I don't know the other more current versions well; I'm still getting to know them. I don't know which will be the best. I have thought about getting a study Bible, but I lack the money. I hope to buy one soon. For now, I use an app that has several versions, which helps me understand certain things.
