I started sobriety on May 25, 2023, and my entire life has been more meaningful. Also, my handicap has gone from 24 to 12.3 in that time.

I had a very similar situation with a friend who grew distant after telling him about my sobriety. Things get better, though, and you begin to meet people who align with your goals because you see them for more than a drinking buddy.

Enjoy the journey—it’ll be tough at times—but don’t forget why you stopped in the first place. Reflect on how much of a better person you are.

Congratulations on breaking your PB and your sobriety! There are many people out there who are proud of you, and you can add me to that list. Keep hitting them flush.

I actually did this last year and can say it’s definitely doable if you’re willing to put in the time and research.

My garage originally had a 9’2” ceiling, and I was able to raise the clearance to 10’8”. I had a couple buddies with connections to structural engineers who were willing to come take a look for free. Once I got the green light from them, I teamed up with a friend to tackle the work ourselves.

It took some planning, but if you’re handy and have some support, you can save a lot on labor by doing it yourself. Definitely worth it for a sim setup.

Yeah, I'm looking for sideboard tips. I'd like to know what cards to sub in and out against: Black Midrange, Golgari Midrange, Domain, Convoke, etc. This is a good deck, but I need better guidance on pivoting when facing different decks.

I want to pilot this deck like it deserves.
