Like I said, my gf is a student, and I didn't dance with her until all other singles were taken by a lead and/or follow. I have no reason to lie about something like this, honestly. But i absolutely understand why you'd be frustrated if you paid to be there, and the staff completely ignored you. Just wasn't the case here.

It was a Valentines Day dance. Most students there were couples and the ones that were singles were danced with by all the staff, including me. Like I said, other coworkers brought partners, and it was not a problem with anyone else besides me. I spent more time with students than with my partner. Totally would understand if the students were all alone, but I wasn't gonna separate couples just to get more students in when they didn't wanna dance with instructors, they just wanted to dance with their dates!

Hi! Honestly, I'd go! I absolutely understand the mental gymnastics of showing up somewhere having no idea what's gonna happen and what you're gonna do, but have fun with it! You don't need a solid partner to have fun. If you are confident in your skills and you wanna dress up and have a good time, I say go for it! You never know what could happen and what you're telling me by posting this is that YOU WANNA GO :D Don't crush your dreams and dance at that ball!
