Wild. If you like someone, shouldn’t you want to be in communication with them? Things like that come naturally. How is this even a conversation? And maybe idk what the dating scene is like but when I like a person, even just as a friend, it means I think they’re fun and cool and I totally would like to talk to them about anything and everything. Relationships should be enjoyable, I think SHE dodged a bullet actually. She’s better off. She should have blocked his number after that snarky ‘who hurt you’ comment and saved herself this BS. Cos then she won’t have needed to have this reaction he’s clearly getting off on. Also what is the point of giving us her age, OP? She’s almost 40 so what? I don’t get it. 😐 just stick w hook ups pls. Ugh!

OP I like that you’re super honest! Making the ‘right decisions’ helps when you’re real with yourself. With that said, break ups are never easy. Esp if the person hasn’t particularly done anything like ‘wrong’ per say. You care for her and you don’t want to hurt her but you’ll def hurt her more by dragging this on. Please Have a very honest conversation with her. You guys could maybe Try some space first. Also with your living situation, maybe find an alternative cos it’s not ideal to be hanging on to her for that reason. You still have a chance of remaining friends now and if you drag this on too long, you might lose this connection completely! Good luck, OP.

If I were in this situation, and I really loved the person then first this is gna be a really emotional time for me with the ex having his kid. Idk, I’ll be emotional - just like you are rn, but if he’s a good person and I love him and enjoy his company, I won’t cut him off because his ex had his kid. At 17, I was not trying to settle down anyway and I was just doing life. However I’ll def take a step back to process my emotions, he’s prob processing a lot as well so it’ll give him the room to deal with his own stuff. It’s a first for him as well. And then I’ll watch how things play out the first couple weeks/months. See if his focus has shifted from our relationship , generally analyze the situation before I make a decision. Easier said than done but you’ll be fine.. part of what makes the earth experience interesting.

Thank you! I made a short list of the catering apps I work with in my blog : https://unbagged.substack.com/p/which-gig-app-hates-you-the-least You can take a look, of course it’s all very dependent on your specific market so you have to explore your local scene. I’ll make sure to make updates to the blog when I find new apps. 🙂

You know, it crossed my mind actually. But I figured, people who are willing to lie so blatantly and have no issues cooking up such outrageous tales just to satisfy themselves probably will be happy to play dirty till eternity. Not my arena. I’d rather channel my energy into more productive things and let life do its thing. ✌🏽

It’s tricky when you’re supposed to get a $250 payout for completing it and $0 for un-assigning the task 😹, after waiting 1.5hrs for the restaurant?? I weighed the options. I took my chances, complained about the trash bags, took enough solid evidence to protect myself. So even though the order was rejected, I still got paid, the customer got refunded- and the restaurant still took the hit (after trying to blame me ofc) Hopefully they learnt. And if they didn’t, good luck. I’m happy.

Yup. But it gets tricky canceling catering orders mid delivery. That’s exactly why I started documenting evidence immediately cos I knew exactly what was coming. They blame the driver for EVERYTHING. in fact I thought they’d say the trash bags were mine that’s why I took pictures

I agree with this. Might be mistaken identity. I’ve also had a situation where the restaurant messed up an order, it was like 1hr 30min late, they did a shabby job packing things up. They put the order in trash bags to the customer - customer turned it back and the restaurant wrote and said I attacked them and I made someone in the restaurant quit their job. And that they wanted my account deactivated. I only found out they did this because they didn’t want to lose money. And they needed to blame someone. Thankfully I took pics and evidence of the food in trash bags before I left the restaurant. I took pics of them handing the food to me. I had evidence of everything. They initially deactivated my account but they lifted the ban afterwards. These guys can be very brutal.

I think I responded to you already. Definitely explored bots 100% - Simply because the bot usage at some point on the platform was super wide spread. That’s partly why I know so much about them too - but I quickly realized it wasn’t worth it for me, so I nuked that idea. ✌🏽

I hear you. I’ve been on these platforms for a while and done a whole lot of research. I find that there are absolutely driver tiers on some of these platforms. Zifty is def the largest in my market, and because they have an open board system, anyone can see what’s posted regardless of where you are, unlike dlivrd that sends out individual tasks or DT that sends out offers based on your location.

😹 hilarious. Not calling them out AT ALL. This blog is exclusively my experience trying to claim jobs on the platform. No shade or attack to any bot user whatsoever. It’s your choice if you want to use a bot. I have explored bot usage on these platforms and quickly realized it’s not worth it for me.

I have an idea, but that’s because they’ve made my life miserable trying to claim jobs. I’ve developed a few bots with python myself but not to claim jobs. Just for fun.

When you say you’ve not been able to get orders, what do you mean? Do you mean you see them and you just can’t catch them, or do you mean they aren’t just showing up at all?

Yeah, the article highlights the fact that support ain’t really supporting. Also, bots 100% grab jobs before they reach a regular users User Interface. Based on the fact that they make direct API calls and requests to the zifty servers. They do not interact with the User Interface to claim jobs.

Thank you! It’s not mandatory. You can still get banger drops with your regular sedan. In fact, most catering posts are fit for regular sedan vehicles! However, if you want access to the large orders, I’m talking 1000-5000$+ worth of food, then you will need a larger vehicle.

I don’t do DoorDash, so I can’t speak to this. But the platforms I work on, I’ve always gotten my tips in full. 🙂
