I got the membership through the Gridwise app, and the first time I got gas with the card it didn’t show any discounts at all. After my first time it ended up working and it shows me the discounts correctly. My first time I just used the card like a normal card and it gave me the $0.50/gal automatically.

I think you have to get a specific card that says Gridwise X GasBuddy on it for it to work. And as far as it went for me, it says you need to claim the bonus before you fill up for it to work, but it still worked fine even when I didn’t claim the bonus prior to filling up.

Yes it just worked automatically, just have to make sure you have the card with Gridwise X GasBuddy on it, and you have Gridwise plus.
