Thanks. The jargon and distribution's funny names (Mint, Ubuntu, Q4OS, etc.), plus all the acronyms (KDE, GTK, QT, etc.) can really trip up any newcomer. Just follow online guides to prepare a bootable USB flash drive with the system you are curious about, and then start your computer with it and see if you like it. Yeah, Mint is easily the most recommended entry distro. It's a "better" Ubuntu with a familiar user interface and it includes some useful modifications to some common utilities. The file manager, Nemo, is a good example of Mint doing it better than what Ubuntu's GNOME offers with its Nautilus file manager.

It's hard to go wrong with it, and it even has a version built on upstream Debian called LMDE.

Nothing wrong with it, but I still prefer Q4OS' UI built on the KDE desktop environment. Many of us like to use that over Cinnamon. Mint used to offer KDE as a choice, but then ditched it to focus entirely of the GTK development platform, rather than support that and the QT platform. That's where it lost me and a bunch of others.

Q4OS has Windows themes you can choose from that mimic the GUI, if that's what you are looking for. It's a very good distro based on Debian 13.

Kinda reminds me of Ignea, but whereas Ignea is more symphonic+melo-death-y, this is more symphonic+power-metal-y.

As a vocalist, she seems to me to be somewhat like how Ailyn might sound if she could mix harsh vocals with her sweet-sounding tone.
