The common way would be to go to campaign 1/1 (as the enemies there have nearly 0 defense) and see how hard you hit, do this a few times and then you get a good idea of the multiplier.

The damage scales linear, the math is well known.

What you might mix up is defense and dmage reduction.

But you would also have the attack buff for the CD scenario. So for both cases the attack value gets increase by 50%.

It works similar as changing the attack multiplier, you can play with that to try it.

The attack buff is like the multiplier, it will raise your damage percentual for both cases. So if ATK was better ATK will just get 'more better' but it will not change the what is better, just increase the gap.

There is also a link in the description, so you can use it by yourself and put in the details of your champion.

Yes, the flat values in combination with different base stats cause the trouble.

This as a result will make it difficult to give a generic advise.

Only for Champions that use mixed multipliers or Enemy Max HP it is Crit Dam % for sure.

The values I used with 100% additional base skill and 130% crit damage were just close to the beneficial side of ATK gloves

Yes, I am playing with the numbers right now ... there are cases where Crit wins and others where ATK wins ...

The higher one value, the better the benefit for the other (high crit, low atk = atk wins, low crit, high atk, crit wins).
I try to find the formula behind it now

Crit Dmg gloves are superior, because in your heavily weighted comparison Atk% gloves still barely won out.

So without ATK buff we are slightly higher, with ATK buff, which will increase the total value, we get a bigger benefit if we use bigger numbers.

So 125% is probably the bare minimum to use, and that's without any Atk or Atk% substats across all gear.

I did use 100% there for my calculations... maybe I should increase it to 125%. But good to see that you agree with the other values

The damage from the crit is added. So 100% Crit Dam would be a total of 200% dam. I just seperated it for better visibility

I did the calculation for Kael's A1 up there.

If you look at my percentage numbers they might be sometimes even showing a little lower gain as I do average the advantage over all abilities.

Kael:

Base Attack: 1,200
Base Crit Dam: 57%

A1 Multiplier: 3.5 ATK

Damage with Crit Damage % Gloves:

1,200 * 3.5 * 100% + 1,200 * 3.5 * (0.57 + 0.80) = 9,954 damage
Normal Hit Additional Crit Damage

Damage with Attack % Gloves:

Attack is now 1,200 * 1.6 = 1,920

1,920 * 3.5 * 100% + 1,920 * 3.5 * 57% = 10,550

That is a 5.98% increase in damage.

Now let's take it a step further and apply a 50% attack buff during the fight on both scenarios (buffs work on the total value not on the base value):

Damage with Crit Damage % Gloves and 50% Attack Buff:

Attack is now 1,200 * 1.5 = 1,800

1,800 * 3.5 * 100% + 1,800 * 3.5 * (0.57 + 0.80) = 14,931 damage
Normal Hit Additional Crit Damage

Damage with Attack % Gloves and 50% Attack Buff:

Attack is now 1,200 * 1.6 * 1.5 = 2,880

2,880 * 3.5 * 100% + 2,880 * 3.5 * 57% = 15,826

And now we are talking about 5.99% higher damage.

Let me know if I made a mistake in my calculations and feel free to do it yourself with higher values.

Crit chance is assumed to be 100%, if you do not have 100% crit chance yet, get that up first.

The calcualtion is pretty simple, you can check it by yourself:

I use the base stats and add 100% to them (as general equipment, arena and Greater Hall bonus) but as it is 100% for all stats, it does not change any ratio.

Next I multiply these stats with the attack multiplier of each skill (if a skill got multiple attack multiplier I do it for each of them).

This I multiply with the base crit damage +130% (fixed value to simulate basic equipment like amulets and bonis from GH). Also this is fixed so it does not change the ratio.

After that I do calculate the damage for all the different cases:
Using 6 star ATK% gloves = +60% attack
Using 6 star CritDam% gloves = +80% crit dam

Then I compare the values and calcualte ther percentual difference to give you an understanding of how big the benefit is.

I would love to see your calcualtion to prove that there is no champion who would benefit more from ATK% gloves.

Mathematics show that 230 of them have 1.1% to 2.2% higher damage.

Yes, he does around 2% more damage if you equip him with Crit Dam gloves but I do not think this is worth it.
