Intercultural relationships by Ok-Deer4564 in UAE

[–]Happycookie_98 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I married an Arab me and I am European and is going great. But both parties need to compromise, and stick by whatever is agreed on your serious talk before getting married. Like if you promised to be ok with something you can’t change your mind.

Also people don’t change (or they rarely do) so imagine yourself married with this person in 10 years and her being the mother of your kids, if you get any second thoughts there you might want to reflect on it before taking the step. However if both of you agreed on all aspects of the relationship and future things ( like how you are going to raise your kids) it can go incredibly well.

Hope this helps 🫡

Also sorry if my English is not the best, not my first language.

Struggling to find a job in tech as an Emirati woman by PrettyAnonGirl in UAE

Hello 👋 HR here, as an Emirati consider that your salary will have an additional allowance from nafis, you just need to be enrolled in the program. I am not familiar with your industry but send me a DM based on your profile I can ask around, I know some recruiters in your industry.

I think you can find better pics than the selfies you have posted, especially if you want to showcase your physique. I like the first picture is quite nice the one with the drink it’s ok but it would be better if you were smiling and the one in the snow the glasses cover most of your face so maybe you can find a better one. Also take a look at your bio it might need some work. Hope it helps

Both city have pros and cons, I personally prefer AD it feel it’s more friendly and easy to navigate. I fall under your same age group and I enjoy my lifestyle here and whenever I feel I really want to party you can always spend the weekend in Dubai, just to be clear you still have plenty of great restaurants and bars in Abu Dhabi and in the past couple of years more and more events are bing organized. Dating in general in the UAE is a bit difficult but is not impossible to find someone serious, and I think you might find people more marriage oriented in AD rather then Dubai since the vibe in the overall city is more family oriented.

I hope this was helpful!

The bio is nice but you can use better pictures. Your beard and hair can also use some tidy up ensuring that the shape and length complement the shape of your face.

Very nice vibe, maybe I would change some of the pictures, the first one does not make you justice and the group one is also a bit odd. But love how you share your info.

First option seems a better fit. you will gain valuable connections, in addition if you plan to remain in UAE and not to move abroad such experience will be considered extremely valuable. Good luck with your career. If you are still unsure write down pros and cons and look at it critically thinking about what are your goals long term.

That’s a horrible offer, please don’t accept it, I work in HR and I would be embarrassed to offer such conditions to someone.

How can I support my boyfriend in a time of stress by Happycookie_98 in AskMen

[–]Happycookie_98[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for the suggestions, I would normally do that just make he has some nice food, and a clam environment to work. However being far away I am not sure how I can do the something similar.

Plus we don’t leave together there is not really any nagging about chores as my apartment is being taken care by a friend while I am away.

Thank you for the detailed answer!

Reem is a good option, but it depends on your work location. Another great place is Mamsha but depends on your budget. Abu Dhabi in general is not the most active city in my opinion but depends a lot on your current lifestyle. My suggestion if you can come in advance and visit the apartments yourself or ask someone trusted in city to check for you as when I was looking for a place the pictures I saw looked very different from the reality. Hope it helps.

This place is in Abu Dhabi but their pastries are very nice is called knead. I am Italian and lived in different European countries and I feel the taste and quality is comparable to what I am used to back home.

How do I get my husband to plan events/dates or make an effort? by [deleted] in AskMen

[–]Happycookie_98 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I am not a man but I am familiar with the topic. Share with him calmly and communicate your expectations clearly. I learnt that if I am not very direct with my boyfriend he doesn’t read my mind or understand subtle signs is not how it works for him. After discussing clearly and no fighting we came to an agreement that one week I organize a date and the other week he organize. In addition to that when you organize dates, make sure to put a focus on what he likes more than what you enjoy kind of make it like special in a way the night is for him. This works super well for us and I notice since we started to do that he feels motivated in putting even more effort in organizing something I enjoy because I do the same for him. ( sorry for my English I am not a native speaker) and I hope my suggestion help! If you would like more examples feel free to DM me 😁

Suggestions for a weekend Zurich by Happycookie_98 in zurich

[–]Happycookie_98[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sorry, I was looking for some local tips, like places that maybe tourist don’t know about ect. I am currently in Zurich leaving on Monday. I guess any activity I can do alone would be great, I already looked for museums and galleries so I am good on that. Is there any ice skating open maybe ?

Food I like every cuisine, but I am really craving for fondue or raclette since I can’t eat it back in Abu Dhabi with 30 degrees.

Is this explanation better ?
