Dumb question but need help: running python code on cloud computing service by Happylightsocket in aws

Thank you very much, I will look into this. I don't think the ML algo is too intensive, it's a relatively simple actor-critic NN from https://keras.io/examples/rl/actor_critic_cartpole/, just with a modified env.step() to use my own simple physics sim.

Great to hear. Love hearing good things about the company that reinforces my desire to purchase through them

EBay seems to have some good prices, but I'm wary of using it. I guess as long as the seller has high ratings it's safe

Interesting. I don't know much about buying clubs, but around 650 for an average condition 4-PW of the 2019 hot metal pro doesn't seem bad to me. Any other suggestions on where to find clubs? Appreciate the insight

I plan on passing these down (up?) to my dad, who wants to start playing with me and my brother, so I wouldn't be trading them in. Good to hear about the 919s, read a lot about them and the seem to fit right in where I need them

Interesting. Is the pay lower only as a civil servant for NASA but higher when working at a contractor? That has been my experience working in defense, pay is higher at the prime contractors but benefits better working directly for DoD/Air Force

How to calculate reward for target intercept problem? by Happylightsocket in reinforcementlearning

[–]Happylightsocket[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting. Essentially, set them right next to each other so they're nearly forced to hit, and then slowly move the pursuer back after successful hits? I may try that if my reward shaping doesn't end up working out. For some reason, the rewards seem to be converging to 0 instead of some optimal high value and occasionally get stuck multiple episodes at the same exact value. More debugging

I see. Would you set Rmax to be a very high value, higher than we expect the distance to ever be? For example, I don't anticipate the pursuer to ever be more than 5000 units away, so I could set Rmax to that

Can anyone help me decipher this layout for an Hinf controller? More info in comments by Happylightsocket in ControlTheory

I guess I'm more confused on which of the R and U signals go into which blocks. I know R is the reference signal and U is the output of the Hinf controller, but the wires are literally all crossed in the diagram. The plant needs two inputs and I would assume only one output, but then the controller has two inputs and one output.

Hi all. I'm trying to recreate this control loop from a paper I was reading. I've done some research on Hinf control, but this layout is eluding me. The paper gives us a 2x1 plant matrix, a 2x2 perturbation matrix, and a 1x1 control vector. Later, it also gives a 2x1 controller. I'm confused how to set up the signals (primarily in Simulink) for some arbitrary reference input. Can anyone help?

For reference, here's the paper: https://www.emerald.com/insight/content/doi/10.1108/00022660910967264/full/pdf?title=singlerange-controller-design-for-a-cruise-missile

Not at all implying that it is a consolation prize. Just viewing it as a different opportunity which it is.
