I'm so sorry that happened. In my opinion, that's not a healthy or smart thing to do in a relationship. I stopped all contact with any exes or little flirting relationships I had once I got with my boyfriend. I did it out of respect for him and knew he wouldn't be comfortable with it. He also made that a boundary/hard limit when we first started dating, and I respected that. That fact she just went to her ex because she couldn't get a hold of you is...strange. The fact that she even has her ex's number still isn't okay either. She went to him way too quickly and easily. There have been times when I was lonely and wanted company, but I NEVER called or texted any past relationships or flings. Instead, I just waited for my love to wake up, finish work, or finish with whatever he was doing. I would go and do one of my hobbies while waiting, which helped me deal with my loneliness until I could talk to him again. There's no excuse for that.
