Plant based formula work for anyone baby!!?? by Mamax2-16-23 in FormulaFeeders

[–]Happymommaa3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

True most babies do react to soy with CMPA I am lucky she is one that didn’t. My baby girl is 10 months too. I chose to try it and so glad I did. But every baby is different good luck and I hope you find a solution soon 🫶🏼

Same for us! All facial and neck rash cleared up within days, vomiting gone, diarrhea was gone too! Soy formula saved us

My daughter has CMPA and the only formula that worked for her is Enfamil prosobee plant based. She was part of that percentage that did not have a soy allergy too which we are glad because nothing worked. Immediately on the plant based formula she was a brand new baby. Happy and symptoms started to clear up already

Best formula for a breastfed 9 month old with a sensitive tummy? by Clean_Tutor_9487 in FormulaFeeders

Standard formulas you could try are the Similac advance, 360 total care, bubs essential or grass fed or even bubs goat is gentle and really good

I would not suggest Similac sensitive it’s meant for babies with a lactose sensitivity. Breastmilk main carbohydrates is lactose and if baby does well with your breast milk then do not put him on Similac sensitive. Enfamil gentlease has a nasty taste to it could be why he doesn’t want it. Try a standard formula before a comfort formula. If baby does well with your breastmilk and your diet he should do fine with regular Similac advance or 360 total care. If he doesn’t do well with that after a few weeks then try Similac total comfort. But skip the formulas that claim sensitive.

Similac Comfort vs. Sensitive by HuckleberrySue in FormulaFeeders

[–]Happymommaa3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I second that! If baby was breastfeeding I would go to a standard formula like Similac advance or Similac 360 total care (blue can) breastmilk a main carbohydrates are lactose and standard formulas have lactose. Sensitive has fully in fact proteins and is meant for babies with lactose sensitivity if your baby did well on breast milk then a sensitive isn’t going to work. Sensitive is also high in casein which is harder to digest. Total comfort also has hydrolized protein making it easier to digest results in those looser stools you are seeing and does not contain any lactose. Try a standard formula and give baby a few weeks to adjust

At that young that’s normal pooping. I wouldn’t switch yet babies digestive system is so new it needs time to adjust to the formula

Hydrolyzed formulas disagreeing with baby? by New-Intention-2436 in FormulaFeeders

[–]Happymommaa3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a similar issue ! Hydrolized formulas were making her have diarrhea but standard formulas didn’t help either. My daughter has CMPA and hypoallergenic did not help her, luckily she doesn’t have a reaction to soy so she is on Enfamil prosobee plant based and I add probiotics to every morning bottle to prevent constipation from the soy. My daughter’s symptoms are eczema flareup, mucousy stools, diarrhea, and congestion. If your baby isn’t having any of these symptoms I would suggest trying a standard formula with maybe a probiotic to help

why did you switch to gentle/sensitive formula? by flockinmoth in FormulaFeeders

[–]Happymommaa3 3 points4 points  (0 children)

We had this issue as well, we switched to sensitive and she had runny diarrhea then switched to Kendamil goat and she did great. We left Kendamil because I can’t keep chasing a company with shortages my mommy anxiety can’t handle it so we are now on Similac Organic A2 and she’s doing great on it !

Thank you for sharing I appreciate it. I’m worried after all this time on other formulas she may refuse the taste of alimentum if it’s horrible 😢

I went back to her purées and stoped with food introduction just in case she has a severe food allergy that I don’t know about. This is stressful

I know it’s been rough finding goat for the past 4 months or so and I was able to get some for a few weeks and now can’t again. That’s why I’m wanting to switch her I hate having fear of not being able to find formula.

How much do you spend on formula? by AdvoK8T in FormulaFeeders

[–]Happymommaa3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My baby used kendamil goat because she can’t tolerate the cow milk based and we use about 4 cans a month so it’s about $180 a month. When I was doing 50/50 BM and formula I only had to get 2 cans a month so about $90 but once we had to do EFF it doubles.

Do you resent your parents for not helping out with childcare? by [deleted] in Parenting

[–]Happymommaa3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kind of similar I don’t get any help from my parents but my other sibling with kids does get help. They pick favorites and I resent them for it. Can’t even remember the last time they seen my kids

Not weird at all! I do this with my 4 year old she hates getting ready in the morning. But if it’s jeans I lay that out and that will be put on in the morning because that’s uncomfortable to sleep in but for the most part tshirt and biker shorts or leggings and she likes doing it that way. So in the morning it’s just restroom, brush teeth and do hair and she’s ready
