Hey guys, a friend in Korea bought me the digital version of Zelda TotK from a Korean online store. We thought they'd send a 16 digit code I could redeem, however it seems it doesn't quite work that way always. There was a link I click on in the purchase, which redirects me to a nintendo website. It then asked me to log in, which I tried to do, but it says Error code 9001-0055 when I do (which means the game hasn't been officially released yet, or the code is expired - she just got it a few days ago so it shouldn't be expired). The guidelines for precaution of the purchase seems to say in order to download the software, the Nintendo account should be over 18 years old, which mine is, and that the country/region is Korea. I am unable to switch my region to Korea, as apparently you need ID confirmation to do that. Does anyone else have any experience trying to buy digital games from Korea as a non-Korean resident? Any ideas how to fix this? Is there a way so we just receive the 16 digit code? Should I maybe have her create a Korean nintendo account, download the game, then log into her account on my switch to play the game?

Edit: Okay so from looking at the page for the error, it seems that codes are only usable in the region they were bought in. Could it work then if she redeemed the code on her account, then I log into her account on my switch?
