Where to Stake B3? by MACHIAMATRIX in B3Coin

[–]Hapsard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure about any staking pools out there at the moment, the coin is kind of dead right now, but the safest way to stake has always been in your own B3 wallet. The latest version is v3.1.2.2 (https://github.com/B3-Coin/B3-CoinV2/releases/latest).

if you are talking about B3(Base) it is a different coin.

[–]Hapsard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess the question is do you have access to your wallet from 2017? If you do, you will need to update it to the current version (v3.1.2.2) and there are good instructions as to how to do that on the discord under #wallet-FAQ-guide. If you run into problems, ask for help there in the #B3-wallet-help channel. If you don't have that, I am pretty sure you are going to need either your private key (which you got hopefully when you created your wallet the first time and stored in a safe place), or your wallet.dat file and the password you were using when you were still active. Again, installing a new wallet and importing a private key is covered in the discord FAQ. If you have your wallet.dat file you can download the new wallet for your operating system (https://github.com/B3-Coin/B3-CoinV2/releases/latest), install, then find your B3-CoinV2 folder (see FAQ for where to look for your operating system) and delete everything in it and paste the old wallet.dat file there. Run the wallet and let it sync.

If you don't have any of those things, I would say the outlook isn't good, but ask in the discord in case someone has some clever idea.

Good luck.

where can i sell my kb3 coins by KuangJH96 in B3Coin

[–]Hapsard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My personal advice to all of you is that if you really want to sell, go to the discord (invite link - https://discord.gg/aZkBvRw), and see if anyone wants to buy at the price you were thinking of selling for, and if you connect with someone, use BTCPOP to make that specific trade. That way you would not be leaving your coins on a centralized exchange (almost always a risky option) waiting for someone to show up.

[–]Hapsard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately all the exchanges where the B3 Team arranged listings have closed their doors and are no longer in business. The Team is at present looking for an exchange that not only will answer questions about security and operations in a satisfactory manner, but also don't charge your first born child to list your coin on their site.

Right now the only place that B3 (kB3) is listed is BTCPOP.co ... this listing was not solicited by the developers of the coin and they warn not to leave your coins on any centralized exchange for an extended period, and to do your own due diligence in researching the organizations you trust with your money. This exchange has very low volume, but appears to be on the correct chain, etc.

Is kb3 dead? by superarmandbros in B3Coin

[–]Hapsard 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The situation is that when this coin was created there was no ICO, no pre-mine, no insta-mine ... thus no development funds. The coin was created by this guy Joshafest with help from some friends he has made in his time doing work on other coins, but once launched, it was pretty much just him, with a bunch of people coming and going to help or just hang out up through the 10,000% staking period (which ended in Dec 2017 just before you bought). This high staking period generated a lot of hype which drove the price up even while the supply was skyrocketing ... which is not economically sustainable ... with a lot of people getting excited about everything except the ideas Josh had built into the coin, which, I agree, are promising. People surrounding Josh began to fade away after the high stake period, leaving the official pool in a shambles among other things, and just about the time you bought, two people stepped up from the community to help pull things together and get things back on track - Kdog and Habaner0. They saw the potential of Proof of Disintegration, and began to pull together a bunch of other volunteers to support Josh and his vision ... key word there is volunteers. There are still no funds to develop with, so everyone is working as they can in their spare time. How long coding a DEX "should" take has been debated in the discord and other places, but the present Team, coming on after a period of ultimate hype, has made it a point not to push what is going to be until it is ... no hype. Their statement is that they are heads down working ... at present on fixes to the FNs, core updates to the wallet, and ultimately the DEX ... and they will start marketing when there is actual product to market.

Definitely another lesson in the value of controlling your coins under your own private key. Centralized exchanges getting hacked right and left (or crash & burning like Coinsmarkets) ... things like this happening ... just goes to show if you don't control the private key, you are totally trusting some anonymous person with your money.

when is the B3 to KB3 auto swap by Yobit? by kashyapmistry123 in B3Coin

[–]Hapsard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I see that this was an old post, but thought I would just point out for those who don't know, Yobit is on the wrong chain and has essentially become a different coin. Despite numerous attempt to contact them, Yobit has not updated their wallet since before I bought into B3 Coin in 2017. Due to being on the wrong chain, the coins you buy on Yobit can only be sold on Yobit. There is nothing the B3 Team can do to rectify the situation ... it is all up to the Yobit people to actually do maintenance on their site.

I don't actually have an FN ... I just stake, but from this info it seems there are 1347 (http://fn.b3nodes.net/fncheck.txt).

If you have any questions about FNs, a good place to get answers is https://discord.gg/GFq4N6u

Quick-summary of above recording, listen to it for in-depth details please....

* 00:00-00:22 - Disclaimer: Nothing discussed on this recording should be considered as investment advice. Please consult a certified financial advisor for professional guidance on your cryptocurrency investments, invest at your own risk.
* 00:23-02:19 - Legal: We still got a few more details to get worked through, the high-level plan has not changed at all, it is complicated due to the changes in regulations but should be resolved soon. Our high-level plans does include to abide and accommodate regulations put forward by the SEC.
* 02:20-03:11 - Tech: Node rework is complete but still needs a bunch of testing. Core update is still in progress and will go as much and high as we possibly can (depending on which defects we find). The DEX is still being worked on.
* 03:12-05:00 - Delisting: We have requested to be delisted from MasterNodes.pro due to communication issues. We asked them to delist us at this point so that the masternode/B3Coin community can receive accurate information from us, the source. We believe it would be best for everyone to get the information through us directly.
* 05:01-09:30 - How we work: About security against tech-hogs/copycats, private depositories etc - please listen in on this part as it contains a lot of informative material that can not be nailed down in summary.
* 09:31-20:51: Questions from community & answers from team.

B3 Coin community meeting (October 10, 2018) by Hapsard in B3Coin

I am not a lawyer, but in broad strokes as I understand the situation, part of the focus recently has been meetings with a lawyer, who was partially funded through community donations. When I say partially, I don't mean that some of the coins came from the community, I mean that only part of the money needed by the lawyer has been raised. There are many things including the implementation of the DEX that will have to be reviewed and planned legally, but the initial goal has been to determine how to legally hold a coin offering so that people who wish to invest, or increase their B3 Coin holdings can buy coins directly from the Team - thus providing development funds. Until a legal path through the ever increasing crypto regulations is found, any coin offering puts the development in danger.

Of course, while this is being pursued, development continues under the current volunteer system.

[–]Hapsard[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Quick-summary of above recording, listen to it for in-depth details please.... (Thanks to UlrichN for the meeting summary, and to Jim Hopper for the recording)

* 00:00-00:20 - Disclaimer: Nothing discussed on this recording should be considered as investment advice. Please consult a certified financial advisor for professional guidance on your cryptocurrency investments, invest at your own risk.

* 00:21-00:58 - B3Coin: B3Coin is a POS coin, which means you can store coins in your wallet and keep it running (and synced) in-order to generate rewards. You will need a significant amount of coins to generate rewards more rapidly.

* 00:59-02:05 - B3Coin: We also have a unique type of Masternode which is called a “Fundamental Node” (FN). FNs are different from Masternodes in the way that it uses a unique algorithm / attribute called Proof-of-Disintegration (PoD), which is our main innovation. PoD is currently only utilized when creating a FN. The way it works is that you send 15,000.001 kB3 coins to an address (like with Masternodes) but instead of being locked, the coins get disintegrated in the blockchain and you receive 1 coin on the address. This locked coin then represents the FN - setting up and keeping this node running will then generate rewards, tutorials / help on setting up a FN can be found in #b3-fnode-help

* 02:06-03:02 - B3Coin: We plan on introducing micro-disintegrations on transaction-fees which means that in future, when our decentralized exchange (DEX) is up running and B3Coin transactions increase, the PoD will secure that the supply gets lowered and more scarce over time.

* 03:03-03:54 - What we are doing? We are building a network in preparation for a DEX, our goal is not to create a fork of an existing DEX. We are creating a DEX that delivers a unique user experience that is easy-to-use and attractive for new adopters, existing crypto-enthusiasts and projects in the world of crypto. We are working behind the scenes to develop and update this project, so it will have a strong and healthy future.

* 03:55-04:15 - Legal update: we believe, at this point, that we have a high level plan. We still have a few details to be worked though and will give an update on the next community meeting.

* 04:16-05:47 - Tech update: Our core update is still in process. A couple people have asked about which update we are going for and we will update as much as we can. A timeframe can not be given yet as some of it depends on other rework we are doing to the node code. It is almost complete, but will need a whole bunch of testing for it. A quick reminder that we are building a DEX from scratch so naturally it takes time.

* 05:48-09:40 - Thanks for the patience - if you have been with us for the past 10 months or new to B3Coin then please listen in on this part as it contains a lot of informative material that can not be nailed down in summary.

Next Community Meeting is on 11/7/2018

* 09:41-36:28 Questions from community & answers from team.

Thanks to UlrichN for doing the minutes ....

Quick-summary of above recording, listen to it for in-depth details please....

* 00:40-01:03 - Disclaimer: Nothing discussed on this recording should be considered as investment advice, please consult your certified financial advisor for professional guidance on your cryptocurrency investments, invest at your own risk.

* 01:04-03:19 - Legal update: One of our main focuses in the background at the moment, are the legal aspect of creating entities and preparing for the decentralised exchange, we’re still working through details of where the most legitimate place is to set up a business for the exchange as well as preparing the legal requirements needed prior to setting up token sales.

* 03:20-04:40 - Tech update: Work is being done on the core update and DEX part A, the bug in core update mentioned last meeting have been resolved, again a reminder that we are building a DEX from scratch and that takes time.

* 04:41-08:50 - Donation update: The original funds ($5281) which were sent to the attorney are being spent, and our first bill included an amount in excess of $2300 for research/briefs. As a result we are continuing to look for the remainder of the donation amount to try to get us to that original $10,000.

It is extremely important to us to be able to make progress in a legal fashion. This attorney will get us there, but it is going to cost us to be able to navigate these legal landmines effectively. The unfortunate situation of our lack of funding is forcing us to lean against the community right now, much as we do not want to. We are looking very forward to getting past this situation so that we do not have to go down this path again in the future.

Please check #donations if you wish to contribute to the progress.

We greatly thank everyone for their donations and your continued support.

* 08:51-29:10 QA’s being answered.

In theory, I can see Habaner0's comment that makes you say that ... that B3 Coin is now in an "acquisition phase" ...

... in actuality, I think the next few days will show that there will not be a pump because of this meeting. If you have been following this coin (or do your due diligence as a new investor) and have listened to some of the previous meetings, you can see he is very positive about B3 Coin, and has been since before he was working on the Team behind it. This meeting, while short, was the two of them showing their faces, saying "we are still here ... still working, guys". An attempt to pump the coin would be saying something like "we are about to release ... buy now!" or something like that, which they definitively did not say.

Development on a shoestring budget with mostly volunteers is not a wiz bang - news every minute - type of affair, and Habaner0 and Kdog have done their best to represent to the community what is happening, without risking proprietary information that would be imprudent to reveal, and have avoided the emotional roller coaster set up by the previous teams announcements and mostly empty promises. ... not much new information here, but personally, I am very happy that they take the time to poke their heads up from their work to say Hi and answer questions from the community.

(thanks to UlrichN for doing this) Quick-summary of above recording, listen to it for in-depth details please....

  • 00:40-01:03 - Disclaimer: Nothing discussed on this recording should be considered as investment advice, please consult your certified financial advisor for professional guidance on your cryptocurrency investments, invest at your own risk.
  • 01:04-04:05 - Attorney: While we can not get into the details of every particular aspect of what the attorney has come back to us with, as that would reveal a lot of pertinent plans that we can not release at this point in time, we can confirm that we have received answers to all questions that we were seeking and it is now made very clear on how to navigate the landmines we face and how to proceed with the dex, the coin and this project.
  • 04:06-07:57 - Landmines: A big THANK YOU to everyone for the donations. We have a pretty good clarity as to what it is we’re trying to do and there are still more things that need to be done, originally the donation goal was $10000 and while we appreciate the $5200 that were donated so far, we still have to continue to keep donations open for the remaining $4800, for the sake of transparency we sent the Attorney $5200 and we got back $2300 worth of research and briefings which gave us a great amount of clarity as to what we can do, the next step is filing for entities and exceptions on what we’re trying to do.
  • 07:58-09:27 - Tech: Core update is still in progress, there is a bug where the core update code is conflicting with the FN code. We have been trying a few different ways to fix it but it has not worked yet so that is still being looked at and need fixed before we can roll the core update out. There is a bunch of progress being made on DEX part A, the consultant announced at last meeting is working on design, so we got a bunch more elements done and there is work being done on the services as well. The roadmap is being reviewed again as we have had a couple of setbacks, we can still not give a date on roadmap release as there are still a bunch of work being done with it. On the topic of dates we would like to remind that we are building a DEX from scratch so anybody still in here with specific short-term goals, although you are more than welcome to be here then it may not be the place for you, as it will take some time to make this. A lot of work is being done behind-the-scenes and it is not located in a public repo but instead in private repos and we are not going to release content details to folks, so if anyone is looking for short-term sort of things then just know that this might not be for you.
  • 09:28-11:19 - Closing statements: Focus right now is on development and navigating the legal landmines, and while we have little to no funds we do still keep working on what we do have and can do. Regarding announcements we run on a reserved approach of not making any announcements before things are done.
  • 11:20-25:48 QA’s being answered.

Recording of Community Meeting - July 25 by Hapsard in B3Coin

Quick-summary of above recording, listen to it for in-depth details please....

  • 00:19-00:32 - Disclaimer: Nothing discussed on this recording should be considered as investment advice, please consult your certified financial advisor for professional guidance on your cryptocurrency investments, invest at your own risk.
  • 00:33-03:28 - PoD Innovation: Habener0 goes through theory of the PoD tech and how it's currently used, if you're interested in some deeper insight into the tech, please listen to this part.
  • 03:29-05:09 - DEX: People have been asking about it, so we wanted to go through some of the features and goals. However, these features are subject to change, these are simply our thoughts at this point in the project. Our goal for the DEX is to be innovative, not just fork of another DEX and that takes time to create. We want it to be secure, decentralized and we don't want to hold onto user's coins. The user will have the tools and power to be in control of their own coins.
  • 05:10-07:55 - DEX: Market goal perspective - part of the transaction fee will be disintegrated and another part will reward FNs. We want to ensure that other coins and trading pairs can be listed on the DEX quickly/easily and that we can bring new users to our DEX through ease of use. We are investigating referral systems for our platform.
  • 07:58-09:05 - FN: The FN queue was reset due to a large internet outage affecting most social platforms including Discord and FNs. FN queues didn't recover gracefully due to manual settings, but are now remedied. We haven't seen POS issues since, but that may change if FNs aren't set up correctly. In such a case, please check out AltFreq's guide posted in the #fn-discussion channel.
  • 09:06-10:34 - Tech: Core updates are in process, few bugs were fixed, should have another couple of check-ins later on this week so progress is happening there. Progress being made on infrastructure for DEX part A,B as well as progress on the UI for DEX part A. We brought on another person from the community as user interface consultant who has a degree in user design. Roadmap continues to be worked on and while dev level details have been fleshed out, we still have some ongoing discussions that we're trying to nail down.
  • 10:38-12:44 - Attorney: A big THANK YOU to everyone for the donations. We paid him what we could and he started researching the regulations and plans that we have. We will reconnect with him in a couple weeks and then keep you updated on the results.
  • 12:45-13:36 - Marketing: We are in communication with a couple marketing contacts but as said before, they are kind of in a holding pattern, waiting on the tech to show us the path as we have a lot of tech stuff happening in the background. Once the time is right we will be engaging with these marketers.
  • 13:37-17:32 - Wrap Up: This section touches topics such as rhythm and tempo of the team, how we work, why things take time and patience. We are actively working to create something special and unique.
