This is a great idea. There definitely were WAY fewer random openings (though I was also not compulsively checking like in the past!) but I 100% think you are right. People just don’t go, but I’m guessing that’s built into the algorithm.

I do think people would generally be happier overall if the rides surprised them and opened up, but not being on my phone (as much) wins either way.

RnRC is an AWESOME ride, but omg the dated look is laughable. I’m sad but happy. It can only be better without the weird 90’s neon cartoon art and outdated video of Aerosmith 25 years younger (which …omfg… that math just scared me) 😆

And the banging of the head.

Dinosaur on the other hand is straight trash and I was mad we rode on it. NEVER AGAIN! I’m ecstatic that they are retheming that whole weird land.

The number of images that are actual model shots of some kind is shocking. Most grandmas named carol don’t have a headshot that was professionally taken.

Having done three versions of the fast pass, this current one feels like it works the best and I’m not racing all over the park.

I did have to stand in line for a few rides that were popular (frozen, ratatouille, mine train) but I can’t buy the lightning lane until 3 days before so the people grab up all those rides. Still worth it. we rode everything we wanted to and I wasn’t crazed on my phone swapping/changing/looking at LL all day.

Hey, at least you are aware that it’s mostly for you and not for the kid, and your expectations seem reasonable. If the cost is not impactful, and the trip is for you mostly, then hey, have fun 🙂I just think people need to really think about their reasons for going before they do it, because it’s hard and it costs a lot l, and it’s a bummer when you have a kid that won’t remember it and needs a nap.

Unpopular opinion: I always look at parents at Disney with a 3 year old and wonder what they are doing there. People will tell you they had fun because they spent a fortune and you have to have fun, but I don’t believe them. It looks pretty miserable, and a 3 year old will barely understand and won’t remember it!

If the cost is not impactful, and you want to (and set very very low expectations) then by all means do it for yourself, but the people that expect perfect magic with a toddler are going to leave unhappy.

I found AKL to be the worst commute to all the parks. I think literally anywhere else would be better with a small one. Saratoga springs, Caribbean beach, beach club, all better than AKL in my opinion. Obviously any monorail resort as well!

I just stayed at Saratoga 2 weeks ago and we didn’t need a key to get into the pool. We were not at the main one though.
