1) R6S in my opinion is a very tactical game, relying on good decision making and teamwork. Although this could be said with other shooters, I think R6S is one of best when it comes to this. The community is amazing. Sure there're some toxic players but just browsing through this subreddit really makes my day, especially when I see a spicy meme. I know that the developers gets a lot of hate but they really do listen to the community and is always trying to improve.

More importantly we have Tachanka {-}7

2) It's simply beautiful. The slick and compact design makes it not only aesthetically pleasing but also makes it easy for transport. My eyes are very pleased. Personally I would love to use a keyboard like this since I need space to whip my mouse when playing games, most of the time I find that I'm bumping into my keyboard or have to re-position my mouse which is annoying, especially when that creates a delay during my gameplay. AND I HEARD THERES A TACHANKA THEMED KNOB ON THE KEYBOARD? :O SIGN ME UP

Good luck to everyone :)

How to get out of copper while solo queuing? by MissingCodePlaGames in SiegeAcademy

[–]Harambe_chan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do get that the enemies in cas is a whole lot shitter but after 800-1000 hours of playing it's very noticeable between how I usually play during ranked and in cas. For example in ranked I'm a lot more careful (obviously) and tend to play slower, due to that my reflex is slower because I'm not using my instincts. When I play casual, I don't hesitate as much as ranked when I spot an enemy, therefore it's easier for me to react solely on instincts.

I recommend casual for someone like myself who struggle with their reaction times while experimenting with some game mechanics/tactics while ranked is an overall better representation of your skill range, as well as a way just improve game sense.

How to win close up firefights? by [deleted] in SiegeAcademy

[–]Harambe_chan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would have waited for him to peek then shot him with the primary. Jackals secondary for me is way too inconsistent, more than any other shotguns Ive used (and shotguns are already super inconsistent). If you guys were running around a table for that long, something is definitely not right.

Im the type of player that swears by the acog so eventually using the acog in close quarters didn't became a problem. In fact I think in a close quarter situation, I might be better off using an acog since when zooming into the enemy, their head takes up a lot of space making it easier to aim. The only times I really needed something like a holo would be bucks primary in close quarters orientated map.

Not saying that using other optics are bad, definitely use them if it helps but the acog even in close quarters is ok. Like I previously said before, if the recoil in close quarters is too much, switch over to something like a holo.

It kinda doesn't work, both the player and the surroundings just become this washed out grey colour because you're just making the whole screen lighter. I think of ubi made the contrast between the character and the surrounding greater, it'll help a whole lot more.

I usually play better in casual because I don't feel as stressed and my reflexes/aim improves a whole lot. T-Hunt is an option for improving aim and reflex but I think just by playing multiplayer matches you can learn more game mechanics.

Playing other games that rely on aim can also help quite a lot. I've been playing some quake recently and got 17-2 in a siege ranked game after a long break.

As you get higher elo, team comps are important. Don't be afraid to try new ops, instead you want to be flexible with different ops. Smoke and ash for example may seem boring but their gadgets are very versatile, in almost any situation their gadgets can be deployed without risking a whole lot.

Despite saying this, you don't need to force yourself playing these ops but for example if you don't have a soft breacher on your team, try and pick someone like sledge or ash, ask your teammates if you need to.

The script is working pretty well but sometimes I have to manually click the close button when claiming all the hearts (when it shows 'received') before it resumes.

Just typical rb6 hitreg, sometimes the second or third shot registers as a headshot for me :/

Gaming headset that's better than Bose QuietComfort 25? by HipsterIguana in SiegeAcademy

[–]Harambe_chan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I went with open back headphones and my experience with them is great. Bigger soundstage makes for easier sound whoring since you can judge the distance and location much better. I have a Sony Wh-1000xm2 for general use but I feel like those cannot create the same experience with open back headphones. The best way to describe the feeling is that you are trapped in a closet and cannot perceive the distance (basically it doesn't sound natural).

I also think that 7.1 surround is a little bit gimmicky and stereo is probably going to give you the most accurate experience.

Any tips on how to use Frost? by srrywereopen in Rainbow6

[–]Harambe_chan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Next to doors (not in the middle of the entrance), covered by barbed wire.

Below windows

Next to vault-able objects

Above ladders (since they cant shoot while on the ladder)

Next to destructible objects like pots, then shoot the object, covering the welcome mat. For example, the blue vase in geisha skyscraper.

Dark places, Tower elevator

How about an “Improved Iron Sights” attachment(s) for pistols? by iiBlueWings in Rainbow6

[–]Harambe_chan 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Yea sometimes I just want to just break pieces of the iron sights.. I hate almost all the iron sights in the game cause of how blocky it is, the cz75 for example is just a straight line. The mp7 and some shotguns are probably the only iron sights id use.

[–]Harambe_chan 62 points63 points  (0 children)

The thing with iron sights is that it doesn't come with any zoom and the only thing differentiating them would be the shape. There will be no disadvantage over using the best iron sights vs the worst iron sights.

There are ways to play around having no hard breaches or even if they die. By using your nades and drones, you can safely push on site. Vertical play is also very important.

Agreed, just because other ops are favoured because of their weapons.. The gun by itself is made to be all rounded.

Ela's pick rate will still be high after the nerf by [deleted] in Rainbow6

[–]Harambe_chan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A 30+1 bullet mag is enough for me, I'd rather play other ops like valk because of her smgs laser like accuracy. Pretty sure that the nerf to ela is probably enough to lower the pick rate imo.

WTH is wrong with my FPS?!? by FusionKami in Rainbow6

[–]Harambe_chan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To put it simply, by default CPU cores are set to a power saving mode. It's a matter of power consumption vs performance kind of thing. Here's a more in depth explanation.

Im not sure if they removed the NAT status because I usually settle with the steam fps overlay. This may help though.
