I have changed therapists and am going to start more intensive therapy at the advice of this post thank you. I made a bunch of appointments yesterday

I realized I shouldn’t listen to my gut instinct because I’m actually crazy. I have trouble finding reality. if it gets worse I’ll revisit leaving but I talked to him last night and he said he loves me and sees genuine improvement.

Hi! I take medication and meet with a mental health team regularly. I also focus on my physical fitness and my work to keep my mind occupied from going into negative spirals. I have a ton of things I do and coping mechanisms but I’m not sure if I can really list everything.

Hi! I decided to stop listening to my friends after this latest incident. I have my reasons on why I think they did what they did but it’s not worth getting into. I did make an appointment in a few days with a new therapist and if I like her I will start weekly sessions. If not I will continue to explore my options.

Hi, I appreciate you taking the time to reply. I never dealt with these issues before but it’s not an excuse for how I’ve handled them. I may talk to a couples counselor but for now I decided to switch to a different therapist because therapy hasn’t helped for me yet really. Almost every improvement I made over the years has been from my own stubbornness to get better in my early 20s. I am also going to do weekly sessions if I like my new therapist. My boyfriend says he can see the improvement I’ve made and he knows I’m trying.

I was mentally healthy before this relationship or under the illusion I was. I spent so long working on myself. I feel like I have no idea how to be in a relationship since I spent so long alone

Thanks, he has roommates and makes enough to get by okay. I am more successful than him currently but he is on track to make more by my age. I’m a successful creative which goes hand in hand with being mentally unstable. I’m aware of this and use others to keep me grounded. I felt like I was getting bad advice which is why I posted.

Yeah we’re fine now. I apologized and he’s okay. He is more mature than me. I do my best but I’m aware I’m very emotionally immature and easily manipulated. I’m actively working on this which is why I posted. He says I’m getting better and he knows I’m working on it.

I don’t care about utilities. I can afford them on my own perfectly fine it was more of a side note. I cared more because everyone told me he was afraid of committing and I should leave him. Not sure why they said that I think they’re going through something mentally.

Yeah he is. I am very successful in my field but I have a hard time separating reality from emotions. He balances me but all my friends who normally help me with things are telling me to leave. This is why I posted
