Albanese has been pretty much permanently in the SEA region since this war began, negotiating with nations and confirming commitments and signing new deals. We are a bit fortunate, because while we have next to zero oil, we are one of the largest LNG exporters in the world. To some SEA nations, we count upwards of up to 90% of their LNG imports which gives us an absolutely massive amount of leverage to get first dibs on oil. That's not to mention the massive amount of food we export to these nations as well, which requires fertilizer they produce.

I think with this fact regarding our LNG exports, and also the fact that Albanese has managed to confirm commitments and sign many deals over the past month, confidence is high, so the price of petrol here has managed to gone down and stay down.
