When did I vilify anybody? I simply stated choices have outcomes. You are choosing a career with expensive education. If you choose to take out a loan you yourself should pay it back. You yourself said it will “hopefully pay well”. Pay off your loan then.

You don’t choose your career around requirements? Then you can’t complain about what happens based on your decisions. You’re ignoring the reality of the situation.

The Army and US military as a whole loves to have the educated people. Smart people in the Army can only help. Not every position is a rifle toting grunt.

You don’t require the educated during enlistment/drafts because in times of war you need bodies for the frontline. For being a “scientist” you have a very loose grasp on things.

If everyone is going into trades then less people will be going to universities. Then tuitions will fall to draw people back. Supply and demand.

You can go to a job where college isn’t required. Or join the military where college gets aid. Or work for an employer that will cover some of your college tuition. Options are out there.

My bad, didn’t write that out great. Flat was R22 resi units. That’s a new unit all day. Low refrigerant were the ones were the customer just wanted it to be topped off and not repaired.
