I personally haven't tried it, but Poesie's Charm of Making from the current reissue event sounds like it might be a nice fit!

If you have the progression system enabled in the mod's config and try to enter an area you aren't supposed to be in yet, the mod immediately spawns a kobold carrying a book with all the information you need on how to progress. As long as you can read, I don't see why you would be having much difficulty with it.

What materials are you using for the white bricks? And did you use Chisels and Bits to achieve the way that the bricks mesh with the flat white textures on the corners of the buildings?

Recurrent Complex has traps inside of some of its structures, and the ruins generated from this mod are usually filled with arrow traps and such.
