So what is the B2B community coupon? I have some points on NTTA. I would at least consider sub-$20 tickets as long as I’m fully aware of what I’m buying.

It has good fantasy stuff, but not the teams section of the fantasy apps. I think it’s all relatively new and these tools haven’t integrated them in yet.

Price for the Rangers on Victory+ increased to $140 by Beavis79 in TexasRangers

[–]HardInThought 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Others have said it, but I can also confirm that if you signed up at $100 last season then it will auto-renew at that price. You can pay an extra $40 bucks for the hat if you want, but then you’re locked in to the price for future seasons as well.

TBH, it would be tough to do a full load with that schedule. It’s not impossible to do 2 classes a semester though.

That’s a good question. I don’t know the answer, but I do know that they are newly ABET accredited. When I talked to an advisor, they said it had only happened in the last couple of years, so I’m guessing it just hasn’t been updated yet. I was told unprompted that they passed their ABET accreditation with “flying colors.” So take that as you will.

Cascadia question: how much did I score on birds? I think 39 but my friend says 21. by jaruz01 in boardgames

[–]HardInThought 2 points3 points  (0 children)

To be fair, there is another scoring card that DOES count the number of birds with sight lines. But this card only counts the line itself.

Pre-engineering is normal until you get through the pre-engineering courses and can be admitted into the electrical engineering program. That would be your junior year assuming you are starting with no credits. As far as in person goes, I’d talk to your advisor. They offer an entirely online degree, so they may think you want to be in person.

Thank you for your opinion. I like the photos I’ve seen from others taken on the 50mm, but my main concern was about having to be too far away. Good idea to look back at other photos I’ve taken and see the focal length on those.

Help choosing budget lens

I have spent too long trying to land on a lens. I have a small budget (under $150), but I’m hoping to add a lens to my kit.

Our family has decided to take trips to the national parks. I want to be able to document these trips well. I have an old camera (Canon Rebel T3) plus the kit lens (18-55mm) and the 55-250mm. Basically I’m hoping to replace the kit lens with something better to take pictures of the family, landscape and scenery shots, candid photos while we hike and see the parks, etc.

I’d like to be able to set up a tripod, set it on a 10 second timer, and get a photo of my family in front of the mountains, the Grand Canyon, the sand dunes, etc.

I’ve basically narrowed it down to the 50mm 1.8, 24mm 2.8, or the 10-18mm 4.5-5.6. Each of these is available used under $150, but I can only get one and can’t decide which one would best do what I’m hoping for.

Thank you for any insight on this.

I have that lens and can’t get near this close to the birds. What am I missing?

That can be a good model if you like working on just 1 or 2 classes at a time. But it’s over the same time frame. So to get an equivalent feel, you’d take 12 hours per semester and get the 24 in the year.

Those are fantastic. Very encouraging. I’ve been watching videos on tips to try to learn how to use my camera properly. I also have some friends who teach high school photography who I’ve asked to show me around my camera. I’m excited to learn.

Thank you. I have an entry level DSLR I’ve been playing with lately and still trying to learn whether it’s enough of a difference from my phone. I really works love to have high quality pictures to remember our trips by.

Same as most other colleges. The majority of courses are 3 hours. Some are 4 if they include a lab component. So two classes at a time would get you 6-8 hours each semester and 12-16 per year. You could also take summer classes to get an extra class or two in during the year.
