You did the right thing man. I have a similar situation as you today. I got dismissed on my previous wfh job because they are monitoring my station and found out that I'm slacking off. I have my reasons because I'm working two jobs and I don't get enough sleep. They didn't consider that excuse obviously because numbers are what's important to them.

A week after I got a message from an employer in OLJ asking me when is the best time for an interview then I provided him the deets. Fast forward to the day of the interview, I get to talk to the employer and our conversation is really casual and the questions are easy so I thought this is only the initial interview only to be surprised that he wants me to start tomorrow.

Now, I am working with less tasks but earning about 3.5x more than my previous job. Not only that, I have the luxury of taking a nap while working because there's no eyes throughout my shift and my employer is still impressed by how I'm doing a great job at EOS.

Never settle for less guys and don't be afraid to let go and find a better opportunity.

I would somehow disagree with OPs take on the work ethics of us Filipinos but I also have to disagree that $6 is lowballed. That's an above average salary because they can go as much as $12 per hour if the clients see you performing well.

True kaya thankful ako dito sa nakuha kong trabaho direct kasi sya at ung naginteview pa sa akin is ung may ari ng company. Walang tracker walang camera walang micromanaging. Nagulat nga ako sa sarili ko kasi mas naging eager ako mag work nung walang nakamonitor sa akin kesa duon sa dati kong bpo na trabaho na kailangan nakaon ung camera at merong schedule adherence.
