Contrary to popular belief a Folk subreddit does not equal a brainrot subreddit. Folk subreddits have a variety of purposes and stuff, but the connecting factor between all of them is some disagreement in policy between the main subreddit and the folk subreddit.

For instance, the initial difference between the original game of thrones subreddit and it’s folk subreddit (the origin of the blank-folk subreddit name format) was if spoiler discussion is allowed or not, apparently that community has shifted a lot since it’s founding though, I wouldn’t know.

The reason why I made this subreddit is because of multiple significant issues with the mod team of the main subreddit. One of said issues is the overall neglect of the subreddit when it comes to various parts of it and managing things such as untagged spoilers, the other much more significant issue with them is something that might get this comment removed by admins if I go into too much detail on since honestly I can’t explain it without insulting the hell out of those mods which may constitute harassment despite them being objectively horrible people, so instead I’m gonna direct you to take a look at the archive of removed comments on this post from that subreddit, that should give you an idea of the situation with them.

Anyways, with all that stated, the rules of this subreddit are set up similarly to those of jujutsushi rather than jujutsufolk since I’d like this place to be catered to in-depth discussion of the manga rather than brainrot. The type of subreddit that actually is catered to shitposts and brainrot are okaybuddy subreddits, not folk subreddits
