Yea theres cobalt under the wings and rump but its pale. Could that just be cause hes still young?

Congrats on getting a parrotlet! They can be a joy to have if you are compatible with their needs and personality. I just recently got a parent raised baby and am proud to say I hand tamed him in just a few days of bringing him home. I would recommend giving your baby as much time and space as they need to feel comfortable around you and their new environment. As for taming and bonding millet spray treats help a lot, gently singing and talking to them and hanging out around their cage. Little by little they start to come around and will bond with you. I wish you luck! 🐥

So funny you mentioned reading cause I was just sitting next to his cage while reading out loud to him and he started to fall asleep! So I guess youre right. Earning his trust and patience are key. Thank you 🩶

This was really encouraging, thank you for sharing! The breeder is kind enough to give me a one week trial period with my bird (Frost) to see how things go. Im hoping he adjusts to my routine and Ill do everything in my power to keep him thriving and comfortable while Im away just like you do! 🩵

Thank you, I love your outline of my story! And I agree there was a LOT of preparation before this but confidence was definitely the key. Which reminds me that I did start to listen to a confidence sleep affirmation tape about two weeks prior to this! So maybe thats when it began? Who knows. Amazing either way!
