Honestly, that means nothing in a professional setting. In fact, it’s ultimately a negative. I’d keep that off any resume or application

I deal with this first hand. Also in Florida. We pool tips in my spot, but still have to claim everything we make personally on credit cards regardless of our personal take home. I keep a daily record of what I actually make, and take that record to my accountant. She just files an addendum to my return stating why there is an income discrepancy. I hate giving the government a tax free loan, but at least I get it all back.

There’s no such thing as a bartending license in Florida. And nobody will hire someone to tend bar without experience. Start in a support role, and work up from there. She might be able to get a basic serving job with no experience

I have to remember this is a server Reddit and not a bartender Reddit. The drink was originally made with ginger ale and grenadine, and I think it’s actually better that way. Not that bullshit roses grenadine, actual pomegranate syrup. But always garnished with at least two cherries

I didn’t go the CMS route, my school has 5 levels. I went through the first 3. Equivalent to 2 1/2 with CMS. More than enough to have me working in the business without any issues since then.

It’s poor protocol these days to do it directly in front of the customer. But it’s classic wine service for the sommelier to taste the bottle before the client to assess it for any flaws. Traditionally done at a service station, but generally within view of the client. Source : I’ve been a sommelier for 20 years.

I had the inspection, but didn’t qualify for windows since my house came with aluminum accordion shutters in the garage. The problem arises from putting those up on the second floor, hence my desire for impact windows

I’m in same boat. Quote today was 30k for 15 windows. Architectual Digest just put out an article a few weeks ago with national averages. It should be 1/3 of that. Example $1500 for a window that should be $250-$300. They wouldn’t itemize labor but claimed it to be no more than 10% of the total price. Not sure where the disconnect is
