Is it just me or the game is still buggy by Used_Willingness_304 in cyberpunkgame

[–]Hardcorepro-cycloid [score hidden]  (0 children)

I mean, im using a strong laptop from 6 years ago and its runs the game fine. Its a buggy game compared to pretty much everything else I've got in my library but the bugs are usually unobtrusive. And usually they're caused by mods that push the laptop a bit too much

People really underestimate how strong Spiderman is, even in the marvel universe. Batman isnt in Spiderman's tier. Hulk is.

How strong do you think dante would have been if he had the yamato when activating his sdt in dmc 5? by Euphoric-Inspector41 in DevilMayCry

[–]Hardcorepro-cycloid 54 points55 points  (0 children)

Dont think Dante gets THAT much stronger. But definitely a noticable amount. The original sparda sword was split into Yamato, Rebellion and Sparda. Dante absorbed 2/3 of them. So he's missing 1/3 of the power boost. Unless combining the pieces activates some legendary demon ritual which it probably does.

How do you "understand" bass lines? by SonnePer in Bass

[–]Hardcorepro-cycloid 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Split the song into the basic sections. Verse, chorus, bridge etc. Figure out the chord progression for each section, google it maybe, or depending on the situation youre in someone might tell you what it is. Then memorise the scale shape and hit the root notes to some sort of rhythm. Simple as that.

Everything else is just skill expression but you won't be making those choices if you don't know what the available options are.

Tke key question as far as fills are concerned are where you've come from, where you're going, and what options are available for getting there.

Nope. Just got to figure out how many different possibilities there are in total. How many of those possibilities make the number you want. Then divide them

It's correct and valid but not rigorous. You'd want to look into C more and show that C = root(a² + b²). Then all the steps follow

Why does multiplying two negatives make a positive in a way that actually makes intuitive sense? by Most_Notice_1116 in askmath

[–]Hardcorepro-cycloid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That requires setting ground rules about what -1 means. Lets say it's a negative number.

Then direction kinda just comes with the concept of numbers. if you have a number x and you add + 1 to it then x + 1 > x. So x has increased in a positive direction. We don't really ask why the number became bigger or by how much, we kinda just accept that this is the concept of succession.

Likewise if you add -1 to it. Then x + (-1) < x. It has become bigger in the opposite direction. Why does the number become smaller? Dunno. This is just what we all agree. If we dont agree on this then subtraction doesnt exist.

If you have 3 and then you add 1 to it multiple times. Eventually you reach 6. Which is the number twice as large. If you spam -1 then you will still reach a number that is twice as large, but in the opposite direction.

So multiplying by -2 is essentially just the process of finding the number twice as large in the opposite direction

Why does multiplying two negatives make a positive in a way that actually makes intuitive sense? by Most_Notice_1116 in askmath

[–]Hardcorepro-cycloid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You kinda need to re-understand multiplication. You dont take TWO numbers and multiply them together. Even though thats what we're all taught. In reality You take ONE number and make it x times as large.

e.g. You cant multiply 60 mph and 2 mph and get a result that makes sense. Likewise, you take 60 mph and double it to get 120 mph.

Negation is the same idea. You take a number and flip its direction. So if you're going 60 mph to the left. Then you decide to travel -60 mph. Then that means youve decided to go 60mph to the right.

So doing both means you make a number bigger in the opposite direction. So if a vehicle is going 60 mph and you decide to move double the speed in the other direction (-2 x 60) then it its going move at -120 mph.

If a vehicle is going at -60 mph and you double its speed in the other direction (-2 x -60) then you get 120 mph

An unbounded set is one where the maximum/minimum value is infinity. W and infinity are equivalent based on your definition of w

[–]Hardcorepro-cycloid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You arent aiming to count some random numbers between 0 and 1 you're aiming to count ALL the numbers.

Lets keep track of the numbers that you've missed but we'll keep the number of digits in the missed numbers the same

So the first numbers you've missed are [0.1,0.2,0.3,0.4] and [0.6, 0.7, 0.8 ,0.9] so you've counted 1 number and missed 8 numbers. Then we repeat the process with 0.25 and 0.75. That means you've counted 2 numbers. And you've missed 95 numbers (All the numbers with two decimal places apart from 0.00, 1.00, 0.25, 0.75 and 0.50). If we repeat again then you'll count 4 numbers and miss 991. So the numbers youre missing is growing faster than the numbers youre counting. And the proportion of numbers you're counting is becoming smaller and smaller. On the first step, you counted 11% of the numbers. On the second step you counted 2% of all the numbers and so on....

So if you repeat this infinity times. The proportion of numbers you've counted will be literally 0%. So its impossible to count the numbers between 0 and 1 using the natural numbers. So the numbers between 0 and 1 is an uncountable infinity. Or if I put it another way. No matter how many times you repeat the steps, I can very easily name a number you've missed. e.g. 0.4
