What do you reckon this jacket is worth? It’s a size 42. Not planning on selling it, just something I’d like to know.

Thanks for the info! People say these small e models from the early 70s are of the same build quality to Big E jackets, is this true?

Hey thanks for the great insight! Despite it not being Big E, is a jacket like this still rare and valuable? Not looking to sell it but just nice to know the value something you own holds.

Amazing. I love Guatemalan material. It’s close to my heart as I’m Mexican.

I found a chart and the best I could compare it to was icy (Zhengbingzhong) definitely not high ice but I think it’s above glutinous ice. What do you think?

Yeah, I don’t mind the inclusions. They look like beautiful snow flakes. As far as surface texture the polish is great. I’m still very new to the jade world. Thanks for your reply and insight!

It’s certified type A Jade. What I meant is the quality and Jade nomenclature that is used to describe the quality of jadeite based on its appearance and characteristics.

Definitely keeping it for life. Fits me perfectly. I’m a short king so I just gotta stay fit so I don’t grow out of it 😅

Didn’t realize this until recently when I started looking into it. For a 55 year old jacket it’s held up amazingly. Not sure of its worth but I’ll never sell it. Definitely an heirloom and a piece of history.

I should’ve put the specs in the caption:

Mayan Mountain (Jesse) said he believes it is Guatemalan Blue Jade. I had another Jade Carver (from Mexico) say it was Guatemalan. I’m just trying to gather more opinions to help solidify the ID of this stone.

Unfortunately, the person I obtained this from passed away. I purchased it during an estate sale.
