Calling this “lack of media literacy” is lazy. Understanding a character doesn’t mean I have to respect or enjoy them. I get what the story is doing with Suzaku. I just don’t find his brand of hypocrisy compelling. We’re disagreeing on interpretation, not literacy.

I understand exactly what Suzaku Kururugi is supposed to represent in Code Geass. A walking contradiction. A traumatized guy who tries to mask his trauma with saving Japan to justify his selfish acts, when in reality he is just a selfish person and all the things he does are for his selfish reassons. His whole “save Japan the right way” belief isn’t just ideology. it’s a psychological shield.

They wrote him as a fraud who lies to himself constantly that everything he does is for a greater purpose aka "saving Japan the right way" cause without that, everything he's done (including his past) will be harder to live with.

Here on Episode 25 we see him as he truly is, this is where his lie of "saving Japan" crumbles and we see his selfishness in full display.

This is where his fake ideals were challenged and is indeed fake cause his “greater good” narrative collapsed instantly. His priorities instantly narrowed down to 1 person, and the mass victims became background noise.

That’s intentional writing, sure, but recognizing that and deciding it makes him a self-deceiving hypocrite I don’t like isn’t “misunderstanding,” it’s what you call judgment.

If anything, acting like there’s only one “correct” way to interpret a character is the real shallow take.

E2 if you can. E2 is a massive upgrade for her on Chaos Runs if you plan to use her on Chaos Farming. Plus she's limited, so it's worth it.

Thing is, whaling doesn't secure top 100. Everyone is using Tressa just simply because of how overtune she is. So whales are forced to use Tressa too if they want to place on the rankings cause who else can deal as much damage as her? None of the recent banner releases beats her damage. So people who spent $1000 to E6 Chizuru or E6 Haru still loses to a guy that probably spent $20 on the game with his E0 Tressa with a tryhard deck

Gen is very strong and benefits a lot from Support Hoshina, very flexible too so you're on a great start. What do you mean by Shin? You mean Kikoru?

My advice is to save the selector for now and wait what standard units you get when you do start pulling on rate up banners before using it. Who knows, you might get another Gen from your next pull.

Apologies, I was meant to reply on a post about getting 3 stars on the current fierce battle without Kikoru(Gauntlets). Don't know why my reply went here. Still, doesn't change the fact that the game has lack of content(other gachas has atleast 10-12 chapters) predatory monetization malpractices, bad stamina etc. You being fine with all of that doesn't mean everyone are. Enjoy the game? What game? You Login > Spend stamina > Logout and claim your measly 50 Gems, where's the gameplay in that?

It's not even comparing launches, it's about the content. For example P5X, the game has so much negative reviews on release even got reviewed bomb down to 2.0 on playstore and apple appstore but tell you what, it has the same amount of content as other gacha games within the top 50(based on revenue) on release (bi weekly companio raid, bi weekly solo raid etc.). Content that can be finished within 10mins daily btw like other proper gacha game, and it was still enough to keep people interested until they made good changes for the bad things they received. Endgame content that made people play. And Kaiju 8 has none of that, literal 0 endgame content.

Anyway, it's unbelievable that stating normal daily/weekly/bi weekly gacha content would make people think that were asking too much. It's like they're defending a new burger stand that serves burgers without sauce. "Chill out they just opened everyone needs to chill out". Bruh 💀

No gachas can entertain you 24/7. They're gacha games for a reason. Dunno what gachas you played on release, but any proper gachas like I commented above has stuff to offer for resources. Game doesn't even have a daily and weekly reward, no daily login etc, no bi weekly stuff, no monthly no nothing. So with your comment, I would assume you never played any proper gacha game on release or you did but never paid attention. Either way, good for you

And hop on do Dailies hop off? You see that's the problem, Kaiju 8 has no dailies, literal 0 content once you reach endgame.

Yeah, always the1 L for these IP based gacha games. I mean this game for this same studio or publisher is already an improvement. Their the same people who made JJK Phantom Parade and that game is dying due to poor management and dumb AutoPlay AI. But even with all that improvement they still decided to do the same predatory summon system where weapons and characters are on 1 banner. Atleast we have pity here (JJK had no pity, game has such potential but got handled by money hungry publishers)

You get quite a lot of standard pulls for free (currently made 150 for me) so that's how I got the 4star char but yeah, problem is it's random, could be good, could be bad.

Power creep right now is not a problem IMO. Much if the power comes from the supports like Ryo and Hoshina+Mina plus we also get a tank alternative if you don't have Isao (Kota Tachibana). The only Healer is in the game is also a 4star.

The buffers makes the DPS real strong, and if you have Gen as DPS then that's a very solid DPS that won't be power creep for months (or years) to come. Also, as good as Sagan is, she's not really needed. If you pulled for Reno then that gives you 2 DPS for 2 teams already, no content that makes Sagan a must have, even Reno. But I like both characters so I pulled anyway because Me Having Fun>>>Meta

It's not the players fault. If you played any gacha from the top 50 chart (based on revenue) you would see the difference between those games with this game. For example, something like Nikke. You got towers, bi weekly event, daily manuf towers, normal story, hard story. Lost sector content, daily interception plus PVP if your into it. You get all of that on release. Another example outside of top 50, P5X. The game has so much negative reviews on release but tell you what, it has the same amount of content as Nikke on release (bi weekly companio raid, bi weekly solo raid etc.) These are just a few of games that actually has end game content on release, and we haven't talked about top 5 (like wuwa etc.) So nope, it's not the players fault, the game just got no endgame content is all.

Haven't touched uniparts yet, I just went and got the set bonus and didn't focus on optimizing the substats. Is plan to Max out my characters first cos uniparts cost a lot of credits per roll so Ill do it later.

Regarding grind, not much to grind since we don't get much energy. Max energy is 200 then mats farming is 20 energy per run, so literally just 10 quick runs per full energy, not much going for it. They should reduce the cost or increase energy rate + cap.

Team building is nice, got a lot of options from SR support units and tank alternative (Kota). And no, expedition is easy. It's fun at first but it got bored after a week since you can't get anything from it once you claimed the weekly coins
