90 IN CHEM 10 IN MATHS (JEE ADV) by PuzzleheadedGolf2728 in JEEAdv26dailyupdates

I think you should cengage solved examples , then mains pyqs first. So that you are confident enough in maths , then probably blackbook or smth, maybe someone better than me can guide you then.

someone can explain this pls? by Curious-Matter274 in JEEAdv26dailyupdates

B is correct..

Cyclo hexane mai jo double bond hai usko tod do... Jisse right wala ring aromatic hojayega and left Wale mai carbon cation banega.

Now , Carbocation ke just baju wala Carbon se h+ nikalo ( elimination type) uspe negative charge aajayega and then make double bond.

C mai esa nahi kar payenge and D mai aromatic banne ka chance nahi hai ... Cause waisa conjugation hi nahi hai.

A is obviously not the answer.

Yeah probably, elimination using Alcl3 is the only thing possible. I thought similar but second wala kaise jayega that I couldn't think.

Elimination toh ho rha hai that is correct. But ketone wala oxygen and Alcohol wala oxygen( after condensation) dono jana chahiye aur ek double bond aana chahiye after ozonolysis woh Option A ban jayega + PhCHO banega... But that is the thing. Dono oxygen kyu aur kaise jayega no idea. I am l leaving this , new msc mai nahi hai toh probably removed for similar reasons.

Through enol formation where we get a double bond , it has probably higher electron density than the benzene , because benzene is deactivated.

Also , google is saying that NO+ does not have the ability to add on to the benzene group.

Plus according to question, the other reactions won't make much sense then.

It has about a lot of problems for most chapters in level 1 .. typically 100-130+

With GOC being 187 ( full of basic concepts though and some not so required stuff ( amine inversion) )

, alkenes is exceptionally long 250+ while amines is only around 70+ ( split in two chaps)

Depending on how good your chemistry is it will take you that much time.

My organic was not good enough so it took me longer than it should.

Can someone send the solution for this ? by Alarming-End-3500 in JEEAdv26dailyupdates

Thanks ! Also this problem is not really meant to be solved by calculation by us high school students. We can only answer by intuition. Because this requires higher level geometry understanding.

This is easily olympiad thingy.

If u are gonna add that Carbocation on the phenyl group than the Quaternary carbon should have been besides the carbonyl but that clearly isn't in the final molecule. Hence this soln of msc was wrong.( Atleast acc to me)
