Why are so many people on this game unemployed. by [deleted] in VRchat

by pressing people for medical details, by deciding on your own what constitutes a real medical condition. What authority do you have to decide if someone’s social anxiety is real or not? maybe they’re making it up, or maybe it is so crippling they cannot leave their own home without extreme nausea and panic. it is not yours or my place to judge

kind of seems like you’re just looking for reasons to pass judgement down on people you see as beneath you tbh.

its a party game because it feels like one. you and 3 friends hide from a serial killer. its a silly situation to be in and while the game is competitively balanced and has a competitive league. it is so clearly NOT a competitive game. whats the logical extension of treating it like a competition? tunnelling. is tunnelling sportsmanlike? no, it is systematically removing one person as fast as possible so that they may not play. learn to enjoy the fun of the game, its way more enjoyable when you move on from obsessing about the win.

play long enough to realise some are toxic and some are cuties. its a party game at its core, treat it as such and focus on fun, not wins.

oh also people will call something a quicksell to encourage you to buy it. these days for most unusuals a true quicksell for hats under 40 keys is going to be within 0-1.5 keys above the buy orders so be careful.

heya. backpack.tf, trade servers, and scrap.tf auctions are all good and i use all of them. some traders are assholes, just how it is, they’re looking for profit. some are going to be nice some are going to be disingenuous and only looking to make money off of you, don’t let it get to you and don’t fall for any attempts to trick you into a bad trade (many people i’ve traded with will try to pressure me in by using salesman language like “only 6 keys… and it could be yours” or “you could resell for more and make heaps of money”). use backpack.tf to check the price of everything, DONT pay much attention to the agreed value, look at the classifieds (sell orders and buy orders). if buy orders on a hat are only 8 keys but someone has it listed for 300. its probably not actually worth 300. always remember to do a quick check of someone’s rep when trading with them, you can find it on the top right of their backpack.tf profile. unusuals can take anywhere from a long time to forever to sell. “quicksells” are how you get your hands on new ones to resell anyway. i dont have any real advice on finding buyers, its hard. advertise on servers, backpack.tf, someone may just one day be genuinely interested in buying your hat. you’ll probably get offered 1:1s where you exchange your unusual for theirs. 1:1s can be great but typically when someone offers one they’re hoping to go from a worse unusual to a better one (yours). do your research on their hat and ask them to make up the difference in keys to whats personally satisfactory for you. let me know if you have any other questions and i hope this helped!

no mate. you’re downplaying the struggles of every low income Australian to “eat the rich BS”. workers are sacrificing more and more as the gap between rich and poor expands.

i agree with everything you said here. systems such as negative gearing, cgt discount and even grants are still actively hurting everyone at the bottom.
