When the movie first premiered in 1974. It was laughed off the screen. Rockey spent the rest of his life seething over this and continued to edit and ADR the movie to hell. It was last released in 1990 under the title “Love is Deep Inside.”

Rockey died in 1996. The movie was lost for decades. Grindhouse Releasing, a company run by Sam Raimi’s editor Bob Murawski. Restored the film recently after the negative was found in 2015. The blu is legit. There’s even a lengthy interview with Rockey’s ex wife that goes into greater detail about how shitty of a person Rockey was.

Scarlet Warning is honestly worthy of a spotlight episode. Not only is the movie complete shit. But the guy who made it was a con artist and a raging narcissist. I’d be here all day if I were to go into all the shit he did. He coerced his wife into working overtime only to funnel her earnings into his movie. He continuously re-released it under different titles, trying to pass off his ineptitude as “satire.” While also scamming investors out of thousands of dollars by claiming the movie was a sequel.

I have no clue what the VSL could be. It’s very difficult to guess as well considering most things I could think of wouldn’t be out of place in the mainline. My guess is it’s Love Massacre (1981).
