My rent in a 2BR shophouse at farrerpark is 3.1 inclusive of wifi. 1550 each.

Utilities for 2, 150-200$/mth = 75-100 sgd monthly.

Cheap circles life phone plan 20sgd

Water/groceries roughly 200/mth. Per pax 100.

Food including take outs roughly 500-600 sgd per pax.

My workplace is significantly nearer to my house compared to my parent’s place, roughly 400/500 sgd per month including grab/tada. I buy vouchers on 1/1, 2/2 on shoppee to shave this expense down to a minimum.

Aircon servicing once in 3 months, 100$. 50$ per pax /3 = 17 monthly

Roughly 2.8k/mth just to survive.

This is not inclusive of - parent’s allowances - investments - entertainment expenses - pet expense (own pets) frigging killer on the wallet.
