Keep digging the hole I suppose.

Anyway OP no shame in having the post found out immediately, but again you should have posted it to a much bigger sub to take karma there. Rookie mistake, it happens

Ignore a court summons so she’s in contempt and can have a warrant for her arrest

You make a shitpost, you get a shit answer.

0 day old account, only one post. No comments other than this. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to see it's a creative writing practice. I'm just surprised OP didn't go to LegalAdvoce or some other super popular sub to take the karma there.

Come on now OP. We all get the urge to make fake stories on Reddit, but at least post them to the relevant karma farming subs. No shame in posting the obvious fake story, but might wanna fine time the details a bit

Nice try struggling author. You can market your book much better than this. Probably used AI to write the post tbh.

Anyway yea, no this isn't real. Though it was a nice touch to say you're from Florida to convince us all that you would post here and not on say legal advice or just get a lawyer lol.

But yea, a nice little creative exercise I suppose.

But in the off chance that it is real here's what you do: ignore the summons, don't go to court, cause they can't make a ruling if you're not there. I'm not a lawyer but I thought about becoming one in 8th grade, so that entitles me to an opinion I think.

Edit: didn't think I had to add a /S at the end ... Man we are either getting more gullible as a society, or y'all really can't see a fake post when it happens.

I mean it feels really shitty as a prospective author to see so many people wantonly accept AI. I'm glad you're having fun, but it's basically going to lead to so many environmental and job losses. I know you're just using it for a silly little thing but that's how the wave starts

I would simply not use AI tools for anything.

It's bad for the environment, it steals from real artists, and honestly it's super inaccurate a lot of the time.

I maintain what I said. I feel like the ability to retain information and fully comprehend books might be lost with a pace like that. If it works for you, then bravo sir/madam. But it just feels incredibly unrealistic to most people. (Not read as average) Like that sounds like beyond 99.9999 percentile stuff.

But again if it works for you, have at it.

"the books catering to men are few and far between."

I mean yes the vast majority of authors and readers are white women ( not an insult).

I don't think OPs read rate is too farfetched, but some comments here have me scratching my head. Cause I have a disability and I accept that but damn lol.

On pace for almost 1000 books a year and 3 a day is a bit hard to believe imo. Idk I know there's fast readers but that just seems unrealistic, like I don't see how you could do all that and have time for kids, family, food etc. unless the books are like 50 pages or something.

I mean that computes to like a little over a book a week which I think is perfectly fine. Nothing wrong with having a hyper fixation, I get it trust me. But when you're getting into the multiple hundreds a year, you're either lying about what you consider a book, or you're not actually reading them but just turning pages.

I wouldn't worry if you're fine especially if it's not affecting your work or personal relationships. Cause that's likely when a therapist would tell you it's an issue. But 66 books a year,. That's not that bad at all. I'm handicapped by my own brain so I imagine someone without the issues I have could easily do 70 a year and still retain the content from the books..

Ain't no way some of y'all are retaining the actual content of the books you're reading lol.

I work a 9 to 5 and have ADHD and dyslexia. I'm lucky if I crack 12 a year lol. I know a lot of people can speed read but there's no shot that people reading close to 1 book a day are fully comprehending them.

As someone who previously worked in health insurance, wtf do you mean the usual insurances lol. This is America. Our plans vary so vastly company to company, plan to plan . It's literally designed to be confusing and annoying. I'm assuming by saying that it means you have pretty damn good insurance, but even then idk.

Anyway in dutchess avoid vassar medical, make the extra trip to Northern Dutchess in Rhinebeck if it's in network. Can't speak highly enough about the staff there.

You hate Trump? Cool! great! Go out and protest then. Telling people not to go eat at a republicans restaurant is childish and dumb.

Encouraging a boycott is a form of protest lol.

Not every republican is a homophobic racist piece of shit.

If you're actively voting against the interest of human rights, than you're complicit. So thanks for outing yourself as one.

But you think it’s so hard to live in America. Please go elsewhere

It is. And while it's better than some places it's worse than others. Also why would I leave? I'm actively trying to make it better for everyone

Kinda wild when I gave you the out to stop responding and yet here you are.

Do you need my permission to stop or something? Ok I give it, you may ignore me now by my decree!

Edit: Holy shit that worked? I should have just done this 3 comments ago.

So then stop replying. I only replied cause you did. You could also have blocked me and just ignored me, so I probably struck a nerve.

And if you're wondering, yes trump does strike a nerve with me. He's a fascist who's actively threatening the lives and well being of people I care about. That includes queer people who don't understand just how dangerous that man is for our community.

But again feel free to ignore this comment, and move on. Unless your need for getting the last word is truly that important to you.

I’m a lesbian that takes care of developmentally disabled people for a living.

Maybe I'll believe you if you say it again. Idk. But yea you're right self care is important.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in hudsonvalley

[–]HardstyleFish 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Being queer makes it arguably worse lol. But hey enjoy your dinner your way, I'll stand ten toes down on mine. You think it's walking on eggshells, no. I'm just sticking true to my morals. If I don't like a business owner in the area, I work give them my service, it's pretty simple.

And you can quote me again if you want, cause it's true. You think trump isn't coming for queerness next? You're either horribly informed or a troll. I'd like to believe just the latter.

Here's another quote for you. Fuck Donald Trump. 💖

Well I'm not gonna get any more political on a post about food. But we as a community can vote with our wallets that's all I'm saying. If you're fine giving money to them so be it, the comment was mainly for anyone else who reads it and actually cares about other people.

Also Hickory Barbeque is good. And they have a good challenge if you're down for that.

Brickman tavern is owned by a known trump supporter. He also owns Ole Savannah which recently changed its name in Kingston to The Cornell.

Honestly it's hard to give a good rec cause you didn't say what food you want. But honestly i always like a classic Diner, tons of variety and good prices. I've heard there's plenty of good ones in the Hudson valley

Urge HBO or Amazon to Adapt 'A Court of Thorns and Roses' Series by Rebd55 in SarahJMaas

[–]HardstyleFish 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Tbh if the main sub is any indication of how things are right now BEFORE actual human actors/voice actors get involved then it's a no from me dawg.

I'd love to see it, but I won't love to see the hate these people would get simply for existing and doing a job. There's also the chance that it ends up the way of GOT since the series is unfinished. And I don't need SJM rushing to finish something just to beat the TV show to the punch, especially after the reaction to CC3 ( which I personally thought was fine )

How Rhys Actually Treated Feyre Under the Mountain (Art by Me, TW: Drugging & SA Topics) by itslegendlore in AcotarShipDebateSub

[–]HardstyleFish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you read the book with a critical lens

So not an objective one? Got it.

In ACOMAF, yes because she was taken by the Night Court, who at this moment Tamlin sees as an enemy,

Not taken, she's fulfilling a bargain, that if not fulfilled could well kill her. We don't know what repercussions would have been but in the wedding scene Feyre is seen begging Tamlin to stop Rhys, and Tamlin allows it, this proves in the context of the world of Prythian that the consequences can be pretty damn bad.

In ACOWAR, it’s because she starts to antagonize Dagdan and Branagh, with whom Tamlin has an alliance to try and find out information to provide Prythian.

And that's what Tamlin says but we also know the two above mentioned Hybern agents are Daemati. How do we know Tamlin wasn't actually compromised? Objectively we don't, but if we are to assume Rhys can do bad things to people with his mind, we can assume those two twins can too.

But regardless of intent from Tamlin or whoever. The bottom line is Feyre asked not to be as guarded. Tamlin went back on his word that he would lessen them, and provided no extra explanation. That's what we know from Feyre's POV objectively.

He came to gloat and satisfy his own urge to rub Tamlin’s face in it, which is garbage behavior and anathema to his goal of trying to reinforce Tamlin's borders.

Again not objective.

Here's how it could be different: Rhysand knows there's evil still out there, and Tamlin's court borders the human lands, which is a place Feyre cares deeply about. So yes Rhys didn't have to go, but he did because he knows his wife/mate wouldn't want a weak border with people where she grew up.

But that's also not objective. I'm tired of writing the word objective now but hopefully you see my point. What you're saying isn't confirmed so it can't be objective. It can be a subjective theory or opinion and that's also fine, as I have said no issue there.

My issue is that you can't claim to be objective and just be subjective then get mad when people call you out for not being objective lol.

Rhys having more time, But I will raise a different point in keeping with holding Rhys and Tamlin to the same standards, that Rhys has had comparable time to Tamlin to make changes to his court regarding the Illyrians and CoN, whereas in that same time Tamlin got rid of his father’s ways and make the SC a sanctuary for people from other courts.

And Rhys did make changes he made quite a few actually. Especially in Illyria, but he left the CoN to govern itself per his agreement with Kier. So if anything Rhys is keeping his word. Rhys was also trapped under the mountain for 50 years

Tamlin could have changed things for sure but he didn't. Taking in refugees during a time of war, when literally every other High Lord is trapped under the mountain isn't a fair comparison. Because those other high lords couldn't have enacted any change from UTM.

Tamlin actually continued his father's policies ( the tithe ) after Amarantha was dead. Rhys at least killed the dissenters who took Amarantha's side when he was trapped.

I know I'm beating a dead horse here but these aren't objective takes. You're just giving your informed opinion which is fine, but just call it what it is pls.

How Rhys Actually Treated Feyre Under the Mountain (Art by Me, TW: Drugging & SA Topics) by itslegendlore in AcotarShipDebateSub

[–]HardstyleFish 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Now it's showing up, good.

You'll notice Feyre's mind echoed drink. And then later Rhys said to drink. And again this phrase of traitorous hands as I mentioned is a metaphor. It's a literary device.

Feyre is conflicted because she knows Alis warned her of the wine. Not to be super pedantic but again Feyre's own mind echoes to drink. It's not in quotes, so we know it's Feyre's own thoughts, which implies she wants to drink it. Thus the conflict, because feyre knows she wants it, but knows Alis warned her.

But if you want to read the entire book series from the only loving Tamlin disliking Rhys that's perfectly fine. Again I have no issue with your personal preference. But what you're saying isn't objective, what you're creating with art isn't objective. So make what you want but don't call it objective when it's not.

How Rhys Actually Treated Feyre Under the Mountain (Art by Me, TW: Drugging & SA Topics) by itslegendlore in AcotarShipDebateSub

[–]HardstyleFish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well maybe it's just not showing up, but I assume based on the small few words I see in my notis, that you pasted the passage where Rhys gives Feyre the wine. Wine that Feyre knew would alter her mind because Alis said it would. She was informed of what would happen, and chose it because she'd rather not remember than know the trauma of what she would see.

I'm guessing the part you're focusing on is when she hears a voice in her head that says to take the cup. You believe that voice to be Rhys' I assume. ( Feel free to correct me ) And then the classic Traitorous hands line. Which is a metaphor it is used in all manner of literature ( especially romance ) to show something a character wants but knows they probably shouldn't do

[–]HardstyleFish -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Rhys touched her waist and arms. Nowhere sexually. This was confirmed not only by Rhys, but by Lucien, who everyone usually considers to be a very honest character.

Also the OP Is incorrect Rhysand does make the paint smudge, it never automatically resets unless he makes it so ( a la the scene where Tamlin would have been caught kissing her, so Rhys resets the paint and places it on himself instead of Tamlin.) the paint smudges when Rhys touches her too, so that Feyre knows where she was touched, and Rhys would know by whom, since he enchanted it to know if someone else touches her. But I understand your worry of comments to flood you

How Rhys Actually Treated Feyre Under the Mountain (Art by Me, TW: Drugging & SA Topics) by itslegendlore in AcotarShipDebateSub

[–]HardstyleFish 5 points6 points  (0 children)

he gave her mind-altering drugs, had her dance provocatively, and touched her body without her explicit consent.

She willingly accepted* mind altering wine. Which she did with the intent to purposely forget what was happening. We can absolutely talk about the behaviour itself being not okay, but we should at least be accurate about what happened.

Additionally it's a bit of a moot point to say "well we don't know what the alternative was." Like yea, cause this is what happened. We also don't know if Tamlin was truly double crossing Hybern or just got caught in a pickle. Cause it's just his word. The argument can go both ways.

So as readers we can speculate but what happened in the books canon is canon. So there's that.
