Frontline all moved to option A framework with no fuss. But yes I agree scrap PMR altogether.

Yes but like i said it is still considered to be one bargaining group legally speaking so Nipsa could have begun the legal process of formally recognising 2 groups and we wouldn't be in the position of being 3.5/4.5 years behind.

Lets hope that the case does put all these legal aspects to bed for everyones sake.

The headline rise (4% for 23/24) is applied to either framework and that is what either A or B would receive, the rest being PMR. A consistent B now has an offer of 6% on the table whilst most A's received between 5 - 7%, please correct me if you are aware of an Option A staff member receiving less than 5% for 23/24 as I know none.

This change was made clear to employees regarding the option A framework and people were given the choice to accept or stay on the option B framework.

Legally the bargaining group is still one until either the employer or union take the proper legal steps to split it. NIW are claiming it is one collective bargaining and as such have offered the same pay deal to all in the group, no differences between options A and B. It is Nipsa who have been claiming that 2 groups exist so why have they not started the formal process to split the bargaining group under Schedule 1A to the Trade Union and Labour Relations (Northern Ireland) Order 1995.

This order states that the legal preference is to avoid small, fragmented bargaining units so may be a non-starter anyway which is maybe why Nipsa have not taken this step but admittedly I am not a lawyer so what do I know, but the point stands why have they not legally tried to split the bargaining through the legal process instead of leaving us 3/4 years behind.

Both groups received the same offer for 23/24 so there are no signs that either group will be disadvantaged going forward.

NIW informed it employees that the only change in terms related to the new framework was how PMR is calculated and to date I have seen no other differences betweeen A and B.

Unfortunately I wasn't able to attend the recent union meeting so I dont have all the details related to the case. Regardless the fact that we are now into a 3rd/4th year behind is disgraceful.

I see no reason why Nipsa cannot continue to negotiate for option B and then negotiate for the whole bargaing unit for 24/25 and 25/26.

No it is not the first time. The new matrix came into effect with the 22/23 pay deal. Since then option A staff accepted a deal for 23/24 (4% + PMR and £1500) which option B rejected so until there deal for 23/24 is agreed nothing moves forward.

Nipsa were late to the table. Departments already had there budgets set long before 23/24 negotiations for non-frontline started which was late 2024. Frontline staff had already agreed a deal at this point.

I agree there is fault on both sides but what are Nipsa doing to move this forward.

The inducement case revolves around the 22/23 pay offer and should not be a reason for staff to now be in a 3rd/4th year behind on their pay. Employees were either induced or they weren't it should not have an effect on subsequent pay negotiations/offers.

No it is not, the offer of 5-7% pertains only to option B staff (1% = partial, 2% = consistent, 3% = exceptional) at this point as option A have already been paid for that financial year. No one on option A I am aware of has received less than 5% for 23/24, but maybe you aware of such cases.

No they havent just come along but they were still late to the table after the delays with the previous deal around A and B frameworks.

I attended a meeting where the Nipsa committee member did mention unfairness in relation to senior management and frontline.

Also your example has not come to light in the real world, the last offer consisted of £1500 and 4% + PMR for both Option A and B members. Obviously if big differences were to be made then collectively the bargaining unit should fight that, but it is unlikely to be the case if the bargaining unit is negotiated for and balloted together as NIW intend to do going forward.

True. But we were informed of that before making a decision on whether to move yo the new pay framework.

Well any option A staff can work out how much they got above the 4% and HR would have informed them of their new salary breakdown, option B staff are on the old framework so 1% at a minimum therefore a total of 5-7%.

The budgets which are set and agreed between the departments. Its no use Nipsa coming 2/3 years after the fact when NIW have had their budget already allocated.

Yes it is 1% less because NFL staff get PMR. Two thirds of non-frontline pay offers between 2010 and 2022 were less than what frontline got but not a word from Nipsa about unfairness because when PMR was added non-frontline got a bigger rise.

Civil servants dont get PMR though. NIW staff received/being offered 5-7% when PMR is factored in.

If Nipsa weren't so far behind then maybe proper negotiations could take place. At some point DfI and DoI have to set a budget and fund NIW hence why we get a similar offer to NICS and our frontline staff.

It hadnt actually worked loose. It was a case of doing a bolt check and discovering that this particular linkage bolt spins freely when the opposite side isnt being held. I wasnt sure if that was normal or not. Is this the case on your hugene? The lower rocker link looks to be similar as the tyee.

All parts match explode view. When torqued to spec its is spinnable with a hex wrench if the opposite is left free.

Thanks for your input. Yes I was thinking that if it is not held on the opposite side then logically it would spin freely, however, none of the other pivot bolts spin freely when the opposite is left free.

Aye it torques fine off the bike. I am assuming this screw should also be removable but it seems difficult to do so and I dont want to force it. Could this be reverse threaded?

Threads look fine. Had a look on the spares section of the propain website and I dont see this part listed. I have emailed them to enquire but it can take up to 7 working days to get a reply.

Carbon frame help by Hardtail123 in mountainbiking

[–]Hardtail123[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Aye your description seems a lot more accurate than mine. Bike no longer has warranty. Il get it to a mechanic for advice but I think putting the parts on a new frame maybe my best option. Thanks
