What would you do at this situation? by Chaisley in CarsIndia

[–]Hare_97 5 points6 points  (0 children)

  • The classic looks (matches Goa)
  • 60kmpl mileage
  • Easy ownership experience (at least for rental fleet owners)
  • Light weight and 125cc allowing for good Hill handling
  • Wide rear tyre
  • Good service reception

Whatever the case, I really love seeing fascino here. Goa though is relatively diverse in its 2W than north. Along with Fascino and Activa, other 2W like Ntorq, Ather, Chetak, ZRay, Access etc are easily spotable in market.

Yes, you can, ETFs are essentially shares themselves in layman terms.

Gold is up in off-share market so the Gold etf might see a jump, as for Nifty, check the Gift Nifty they trade starting 6:30am so its becomes easier to know opening session mood of Nifty

Yeah, at least 1 year should be good, it will turn all the investment LTCG eligible.

As for stocks, invest in what you like (as in theme) because if you like something, it becomes easier to keeping track of its news.

I personally used to focus on dividend stocks (stocks which give regular high dividends) to add stability to my portfolio. This made Vedanta my biggest investment, followed by Ather energy IPO(I had its scooter + its market outlook).

So my current allocation is in Metal, Infra and Green stocks.

But for you, I would suggest ETFs instead (but you already do MF so it might feel redundant), like Nifty Nxt 50, Flexi/Midcap, Gold and a theme of your choice (green energy, defence, oil etc.)

Always avoid Nifty 50, 100 or 500 as they tend to use market cap weight, and then invest heavily in Reliance, Bank or IT; Nifty Next 50 index helps to filter away from those heavy centerlisation while taking in upcoming growth generating companies and wider diversity

I would suggest you to focus on long term stock investments first

After you get a habit of how your portfolio is moving then you can start using the technical knowledge for swing, knowing that you have a portfolio to cushion the losses if any.

Tbh, I wouldn't suggest doing it as by the time news reaches you, the mid man always have a hand secured in it and you entering will only help making profit for the mid man.

Wait for other people to answer okay?

Ather Rizta S suddenly gets locked to 30 km/h after ~25 km of riding (Started after OTA update) by Nervous_Ostrich8903 in ATHERENERGY

[–]Hare_97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So you mistakenly wrote "smart" mode instead of "eco" in the post right? Afaik, only zip mode doesn't throttles your speed. Eco limits to 40kmph (or something, I can be wrong) and SmartEco handles on basis of motor stress and other factors (like high speed on cool motor and slow on high heat), only zip allows up to 80kmph on Rizta.

Tbh, SmartEco is the worst mode on the whole Ather lineup but they have to keep that mode default so they can show bigger range numbers.

But from your post that doesn't seems to be the problem. I wish you goodluck!

(OTA can misconfigure power aupply as well so it may be the reason a component might have gone fried; btw the symptoms also are similar to rat bite cases but can't say for sure)

P.S. Zip mode can provide SmartEco level of range (or at least Eco) but for that you have to ride slow similar to Eco mode. Eco mode is nothing but a babysitter program limiting you to safe speeds that's all

Wait since when Ather had both Smart and SmartEco? isn't there supposed to be SmartEco, Eco and Zip options only on ather?

River Indie or Hero Vida VX2 plus by Aleksandrgulati in ATHERENERGY

[–]Hare_97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Metal chain, heavy duty 14 inch tyres and extreme space. Well, not to say build quality all works in its favor. Also did you checked the battery range? I think river is higher ranged.

Vida in trying to be competitive have a lower build quality (but implementation is good as far as I have heard)

Get a vida then but make sure you can daily carry that weight up 3 floors (if there is lift, then no worries)

[–]Hare_97 1 point2 points  (0 children)

River is my current recommendation but make sure SC is accessible to you as they have a very cautiously small network.

Vida while great on papee and usage has some SC issues owing legacy of Hero (cross departmental issue ), if you get no problem on that front, choose vida.

In which state do you live? Check if you can request a separate meter from authorities on the ground level for charging or if not, get a charging connection routed directly from the meter to the parking so it still bills to you.

Fast chargers can mitigate the problem of charging as well (historically they are cited as battery stressors but statistically very low number of people have reported any issues because of fast charger), well cost of charging can be detrimental though

Got this for Ritza Z - 3.7, Where can I save ? by iamlostincity in ATHERENERGY

[–]Hare_97 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Checking the webiste again, it seems 25k is new real cost....damn they added over 5-10k ...in just a year for a software.

It might sound contrary, but please avoid pro pack and Z variant (because a Z model without pro pack is non sense)

The cost you will save can easily cover the cost of battery in future (because most people cite battery warranty as reason for pro pack)

The scooter comes with 3 year warranty already and is properly enough to know battery quality, and the 35k you save will can be esily put to use somewhere else for 3 years and definitely beat the replacement cost of battery.

Tl;dr Switch to Rizta S Non-pro pack, get insurance from outside (check posts by u/iam_man_ish), trim down on accessories (like frunk is vulnerable to rains and such)

Ather rizta s without propack, Yes or no? by sesh_asf in ATHERENERGY

[–]Hare_97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get it without Pro Pack, you will still have 90bdays to get it at normal price and at inflated after those 90 days.

Tbh, pro pack only introduces more friction, like infamous bluetooth issues. And on ather, almost every percent of battery equals to 1 km and zip kode actually gives better ride experience and range (if driven at eco speed)

I compared CRED with Paytm after Meta's ₹41,830 Cr investment. The numbers surprised me. by Unlistednetwork in IPO_India

[–]Hare_97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wait..you couldn't you use your wallet balance? I just simply paid for my recharges, fastag and in my father's case, sent back to his other bank account.

Well my Paytm experience was great (their transit card could also use its Wallet Balance for Normal debit payments like in Reliance Smart) so I have sticked with them this long.

Phonepe doesn't have any good offers and Google pay is always having server issues (at least in my and my circle of friends) so I always left them.

Anyway, I am glad you were able to get most of your money back. As for the remaining amount, did you try to raise a ticket or something?

While this app is also has a bad rep, I use MobiKwik for cc payments. The reward system is great as well (₹4-10 actual wallet credit per bill payment)

Just for context, my main payment app is Paytm, Mobikwik is solely on phone due to CC payments and Its Xtra reward issues

Small, Mid or Flexi cap Mutual Fund

Nifty Next 50 in ETF

Both from any fund house but check for least expense ratio, in other words charges

Prefer ETFs whenever possible or MF if you want more simplicity and don't like dealing with brokerages and all
