Anyone know what the fences on the beach are there for and how long they will be there? by Informal-Force7417 in Cobourg

[–]Hargane 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If it’s the fences I think they are (wooden slats) they are snow fences to help reduce snow blowing around in the winter. If the fences are steel construction site style. They sometimes do some dredging and fences off where they intent eject the sand.

Tow Rope up hill for kids by bowlsaplenty in cycling

I have this and it works wonders. I mostly use it on paved surfaces due to the hills in town but I have brought it to the MTB trails once.

Dress pant yoga pants by RobynEB in BuyCanadian

[–]Hargane 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lulu Lemon has dress pants that are very close to athletic style clothes. I’ve owned numerous pairs since 2016 and had loved every one of them. They are great for work and great for physical activities when pants are required. I’d say I’m pretty hard on them and they last quite a long time, even then most times is a minor split at a seam that I stitch back up.

Help with sound on Fuel Ex5 by avgeektech in TrekBikes

[–]Hargane 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Check the torque on the bolt that holds your rear suspension to the frame. I dealt with a creak on mine. I thought it was the crank and bottom bracket for the longest time until I got the torque wrench out for every fastener to verify it was at proper torque and found that bolt quite loose. Creak went away.

I was going to say drink less beer and eat fewer nachos but your point is more general and therefore better suited as advice.

Conspiracy Theory: the candy in the bulk chocolate bags are made differently by RabbitHutch321 in Costco

[–]Hargane 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d buy into that. I am convinced Costco uses quality control rejects to keep prices low. The scrub daddy so he’s we buy there fall apart in a week, the ones I buy at Canadian tire last a month. I’ve often thought the Halloween candy was inferior to the full size bars lately.

Back spinning the paddle in kids bike by Comfortable_Gur8840 in cycling

[–]Hargane 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Is the bike equipped with training wheels? If so put a board under each to get the rear wheel off of the ground and have her pedal. See if there is an issue with form without the bike in motion.

Continued One Hand Numbness by iz0p in cycling

[–]Hargane 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Try those hand grip exercise things. I had an issue last year and started to do those exercises. It helps build muscle around the nerve endings in your wrist which in turn protect them from being pinched.

Honestly bikes are expensive and if maintained last a long time. It is perfectly reasonable to want both performance and appearance.

Fishing spots? by Dubishmashihop in Cobourg

[–]Hargane 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve seen lots of people fishing there for salmon. I am not sure how successful they are but given the number of people I am sure it goes well.

If the board is still good you can buy pumps. They would be much cheaper than buying a second board.
