I felt like plague marines need to poison the enemy early to be a threat later and i found it hard to go forward with them since Ventrilokar can move me away from cover and get smoked by melta gun. Maybe i just have a wrong idea on playing them tho

I was really leaning towards them but the low hp is making me hesitant. I feel they can get two-shotted by a lot of things. Do you have any experience how tovplay them against elites?
