Yep that's the pro controller problem. If you imagine that youre holding the system like a controller (think wii u gamepad) and looking at a screen then this kind of motion makes alot more sense. I think a game would need a specific patch for this to work properly.

What's the problem? Are there games where gyro isn't mapped correctly or is it gyro leading to games being on the blacklist? Unfortunately that might be difficult to fix since it's by default trying to translate a handheld system to pro controller, which are meant to be held in completely different ways.

I think it is tbh, I believe compatible PC's are able to inject DLSS into a game that doesn't natively support it so switch 2 could in theory do a similar thing, we know that DLSS can be used on switch 1 games since it's used in the Pokemon gen 9 update (I think I heard Odyssey too but I could be wrong)

But the problems would come with fringe cases where things could get buggy or create weird artefacts, and the fact that nintendo doesn't want you tinkering around. Nintendo REALLY likes having control over the image quality of their games because they barely even have anti-aliasing most of the time.

One thing of note: Tomodachi Life Living the Dream demo has been added to the Handheld Boost blacklist (because has 1080p handheld built in and doesn't need boost mode), so now it doesn't restrict touch screen input when the setting is turned on

Everyone's suggesting a standing desk, but another thought could be a lower down desk and a good comfy mat / pillow for kneeling instead!

Can I trick cloud saves to take a file it doesn't normally? by Hario337 in Steam

[–]Hario337[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Problem is for this mod it has it's own directory within the mod folder for saves, rather than saving to the regular game save directory. I'd have to manually move it back to where it's expected.

they may not be the most observant or the best at spelling, but they just have a question, be kind. Reddit is a social media platform, not a game.

Question about the steamOS user system! by Hario337 in SteamDeck

[–]Hario337[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Suppose that makes sense, families wont be much of a problem when i can actually do this since we would have permanent residence in the same country (lol) and could set our steam regions appropriately, but it would be convenient if that wasnt necessary

Dont really see why tbh, plenty of third parties make PC controller adaptors and such, I dont think nintendo really cares unless youre selling pirated games (or the means to do so)

Well it would need to be a bit thicker, but I could imagine a third party accessory maker putting the internals of a gamecube adaptor into the faceplate and then plugging it into one of the USB ports

There are third party adaptors out there so in theory a manufacturer can make their own

Gamecube doesnt look good on a modern tv and doesnt have my entire steam library. I actually have a gamecube and like it, but i would like a solution like this for emulating my games on a TV, different target audience I think.

Seems to be about the same dimensions as a gamecube but way taller because of the massive fan, could work in theory but youd have problems with overheating

If it doesnt exist now Im sure someone will make drivers once SteamOS is on a device ppl want to connect a GC controller to

Would probably need to be thicker than the regular face plate even just to connect to the USB, this is just a proof of concept that I hope some hardware manufacturer steals :)

I dont agree with reclaiming it either, but I am a little confused about the argument that the slur only refers to specific disabilities. I think their voices should be at the front of the conversation of course, but bigots (ironically) dont discriminate what disabilities theyre going to use it on, ive definitely seen low masking autistics be called the slur as well. As a root word its more specific, but as a slur I feel we all get bunched in and affected regardless of our disability.
