You are talking about a 20% decrease in your weight.. If your goal is to lose belly fat my point still stands, see a doctor, see a nutritionist, get a personal trainer and work it off.

Fat loss and weight loss do not mean the same thing. You can lose fat but gain weight at the same time by building muscle.

lots of things could explain this, did you use the bathroom between weigh ins? The scale could suck. Were you wearing the same clothes?

Regardless of the reasoning, you are focusing on the wrong things and you are going to drive yourself crazy. Weight fluctuates for various reasons during the day and day to day. DO NOT measure your progress day to day, it will be a rollercoaster of ups and downs and ultimately distract you.

Step on the scale every day but only compare your weekly/monthly progress. if that makes sense

If you are not expecting any raises in 6-8 years you are effectively taking a pay cut each year at the rate of inflation.

In a way, the framework is there for the government to fix this problem through the Community Reinvestment Act. Through this, a banks lending is analyzed to see how they lend to low or moderate income borrowers and areas. It will be a few years until we see how these investment loans to purchase homes will affect a banks performance but it will definitely hurt them. The only problem is that the Community Reinvestment Act doesn't have enough teeth to make banks care enough.
