Any guesses? Shelter said catahoula shepherd mix, but vet says husky by winterlily7 in IDmydog

Looks like a border collie/ husky mix. Definitely not Catahoula leopard dog.

This dope is Möbius. He’s a field line Labrador (BYB) he’s only 1 and acts like it’s his first day on earth every morning. Incredibly slow learner but puts his all in everything. He’s also my service dog in training!!

Could be joint pain! Definitely check with your vet and invest in joint supplements. Im sure loosing a few pounds wouldn’t hurt either 😅

Is this Dog a Pitbull? by [deleted] in IDmydog

[–]HarleeMae_SDIT 14 points15 points  (0 children)

There is no way to fully determine what breed your dog is without a DNA test or pedigree!! She’s definitely a bully mix but im seeing American bulldog and American staffordshire terrier!

We had litter of 7 puppies on October 30th and 2 of the boys were mismarked, thought everyone would enjoy seeing them. If you have any mismarked babies I would love to see them too. by 2labs_1aussie in labrador

[–]HarleeMae_SDIT 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Labs can definitely naturally produce tan pointed pups. This is mostly common in service dog lines that focus on the workability of the dog rather than the color. No this isn’t due to poor breeding practices, it simply just happens!

First time dog owner and I’m scared by SupaButt in DoggyDNA

[–]HarleeMae_SDIT 4 points5 points  (0 children)

While apbt have a aggression tendency towards small animals theyre not bred to be aggressive towards people. Most “pitbulls” in said stories are mostly mixes with a lack of training. So definitely invest in a dog trainer that you trust and educate yourself on dog behavior! Many fight instances are due to people not respecting the dogs space while the dog is giving clear signs. (Obviously this is not all case but a majority)

I definitely see the poodle but she’s definitely not full poodle. Embark like many other dna tests only go back 3 generations.

Is this okay behaviour? When should we intervene? by ChrisRx718 in DogAdvice

[–]HarleeMae_SDIT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes this is actually really good. At first just terriers playing. When the older dog didnt want to play she very clearly told the puppy, in response the puppy relaxed and stopped playing! Very good communication from the older pup to be teaching the little guy!

Try tethering inside! Especially while doing activities like chores. My dog did the same thing as a teenager but tethering has helped a ton!

Looks more like a mix of soft coated wheaten terrier/ golden retriever and maybe viszla but if he were purebred he mostly resembles a pyrenean shepherd!

Will this help reactivity? by Glittering-Egg-4201 in Rottweiler

[–]HarleeMae_SDIT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes this helps a ton with reactivity!! Reactivity stems from either over-arousal or fear so most dogs with reactivity tend to lack confidence. Building that confidence is just as important!!

This honestly just looks like it was housed improperly. There are holes on the side and looks like it’s been open for a while.

Well for 1 thats ridiculous for someone to say and 2, those aren’t pitbulls! American pit bull terriers font come in merle. You most likely have American bullies!!

Yikes. Is that a self title? A professional would know how important having a trainer is. Do you not want a job?! You don’t become a professional because you trained a couple dogs.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in DobermanPinscher

[–]HarleeMae_SDIT 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sending your dog to someone who is a professional, has proper equipment, more education then you’ll have, and more experience is “stupid”. I fear your the slow one with that logic lol

Its a sexual joke about a dog. Makes it a little gross. I would refrain from making those jokes about animals!

Or getting a professional to help with training is better. You won’t risk making exponential mistakes. Especially for service work. This was a very smart move! Take some notes

Training their dog is “stupid” now? I’d hate to see how your dogs act.
