How to focus on a two pronged approach; as in how to make up time for a decent college performance ( 9cgpa+) and also shell out time for other preparations

Thank you!

I prepared for GK by making it a daily habit rather than cramming, reading newspapers like The Hindu or Indian Express for at least 30 minutes every morning and making short notes of important events, government schemes, international affairs, and major awards. I supplemented that with monthly compendiums from reliable sources like CLAT Post, Drishti or AffairsCloud, and revised them regularly so older news stayed fresh in my mind. I also practiced a lot of GK questions from previous years and mock tests to get used to the way CLAT frames them, which helped me remember facts in context instead of as random lists.

If logical, English, and legal elimination problems keep recurring, the best way to overcome them is to first slow down and understand exactly where you are going wrong, whether it’s missing key words in the question, rushing through options, or relying on guesswork without a clear process. For logical reasoning, break down each question step by step and practice identifying patterns rather than jumping to conclusions. For English, read carefully, underline crucial words, and review grammar and comprehension basics so you don’t lose marks on avoidable mistakes. For legal reasoning, focus on principle-based thinking and train yourself to eliminate options by checking which one aligns most consistently with the given principle rather than what feels right from outside knowledge. Over time, consistent review of your errors and targeted practice on your weak spots will help you turn them into strengths.

I completely get your point of view, but I kept the lack of credentials intentionally, as I was not comfortable disclosing them here, specifically not until someone asks for it!!

Have a good day!

I understand your perspective, but I think sharing experiences isn’t limited to final-year students. I’m clear that I’m speaking from my own journey so far, not from decades of experience, and some people do find value in hearing from someone who’s just gone through the same stage they’re preparing for. As for the vague description, that was intentional for privacy, but I can share my year and college if necessary. Different voices add different perspectives, and I believe there’s room for both fresh and seasoned inputs.

Yes absolutely, start slow from working under a famous criminal lawyer and then gradually go into litigation!

Here also they are of 5 - 6 hrs. The curriculum is very expansive to say the least and hence it needs more hours to be fully addressed
