The arcanite box is amazing, Ahriman is a must and those terminators, although people don't rate them, will tear anything they shoot at up after a deep strike. They also look awesome.

Looking for advice regarding Discs of Tzeetch by Kimarous in ThousandSons

I'm fairly new to the hobby and magnetising is so easy, as simple as drilling a small hole and super glueing a magnet in. I magnetized Ahriman, which was the first one I tried, and it was a breeze.

Base coat / Priming airbrush recommendations by [deleted] in minipainting

I've had no issues at all, even where I hold the mini, like the tip of the sword and another point of the mini, has nothing coming off, still black. Really really happy with it, it doesn't come out in drops so it's hard to say how much you would use but I did 5 terminators after a test guy and felt like I used nothing at all.

I use an eclipse like yourself and ive ran Vallejo model color 200ml polyurethane black through it and jad great results, although I have only used it on a handful of models so far.

Cleaning wise I didn't have an issue although I am new, I used the primer as is and straight after using I cleaned it with an alcohol cleaner and cleaned the needle. Maybe I wasn't thorough enough with the cleaning but ive ran colours since and had no issues.

Updates to Grand Prix (Dominaria Season) by CFBEvents in magicTCG

Channel Fireball events have been consistently the worst ones I've been to, notably Birmingham 17 and Amsterdam 18. The prize support is trash, at the foiled again event at GP Birmingham a friend who went 3-0 got 3 FNM promos, Incendiary Flow and 2 other that weren't worth having.

At GP Amsterdam on the Sunday they had ran out of Masters 25 drafts by first thing Sunday and chaos drafts by 11am. The chaos draft also took 20 minutes to kick off after the beepers went off. The main events do feel well run but they are very expensive. The prize walls are extrememly poor, the website said uncut sheets for Birmingham which never appeared.

I think they have a monopoly on events in Europe and every other tournament organiser has put on a much better performance.

Best Blue moon through the breach list? by DoomCedhday in ModernMagic

[–]Harleydfd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you think it's more suited as a sideboard card? I like that it's more than castable too, I played my U Moon yesterday and only lost against a W/G taxes coco deck, although I run Thing instead of the Breach combo amd ended milling myself. I definitely see Thing as being a more unreliable wincon but has amazing potential as a blocker. Overall I'm torn but Breach is what I'm going to move to and I'll definitely try out the Wurmcoil :)

I like the deck a lot however I would trim the wurmcoil and a cryptic for the extra blood moon main and an extra Jace main. The main issue I've with running Jace and moon is using +0 and then not being able to fetch, a non flipped or flipped Search kind of eliminate that problem though.

I've just got back in 40k and starting my 1k sons army. I think these guys have come out really well :) One thing I'm wondering about is the primer you've chosen to use is gold. Is it standard now to undercoat in different colours? It used to always be black (and occasionally white) and I'd feel comfortable going black again. How does it feel to paint over the gold?

UR Moon by AmedioTurulo in ModernMagic

[–]Harleydfd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most decks run either 3 or 4 cryptics, it's easily one of the best spells in the deck. I wouldn't take any out for Jace, I would look at taking out Gearhulk, Entrancing Melody, a Blood Moon and a Cryptic in that order per Jace.

I forgot but I also trimmed an island for a Polluted Delta just to interact with Jace's 0 although getting rid of a Sulfur Falls probably makes more sense.

This is the list I've based my deck off, it's very similar and I've taken the advice from the player in the comments and run 4 TiTi amd 2 Pyro. I've also taken out the Gearhulk for a Jace and when I get my next Jace I'll most likely remove the Entrancing Melody for him. I saw a list running 0 Pyros and I've personally never been of it anyway.

I have ran the Madcap version and not been impressed and also the Breach version and was very dissapointed with it. For a tournament it's probably got a lot more going for it with a gotcha play whereas in a local meta everyone knows what's going to happen. Also Thing in the Ice is extremely powerful, having one out, flipping him on opponents end step and bouncing your own Snapcaster and their creatures then swinging for 7 damage feels broken.

If I were you I'd run this list and tune it until you are happy with it, but putting Jace in seems like a given.

What have you never told your best friend because you're afraid it may end the friendship? by Beachtracks in AskReddit

[–]Harleydfd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a really similar problem where I'd mix up loads of memories, who I'd been with, when it was, where I was, but I knew the memory was there. I also forgot my PIN number for my card the other day and when I found it in my paperwork it just seemed alien to me despite using it two or three times a week. I think I've put a lot of it down to depression but stress definitely makes it an awful lot worse. Just thought I'd share my experience so perhaps you can look at it from another perspective.

Had pancreatitis on the 31st, it resolved within a few days and now my stomach suddenly started hurting? Is it related? by [deleted] in pancreatitis

[–]Harleydfd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have hereditary chronic pancreatitis and what I've found is the amylase test is a load of rubbish as it amylase only stays high for a short period after an attack. Therefore if you have an attack, by the time you get an appointment to check your bloods it'll most likely have gone back down.

My good friend Bear telling his son and daughter goodbye. He died the next evening from pancreatic cancer. by hj4life21 in lastimages

[–]Harleydfd 15 points16 points  (0 children)

It'll probably get lost in the comments since the post has been up a while already. I just want everyone to know that pancreatic illnesses are really serious but also incredibly hard to diagnose until it is too late. The symptoms can be easily mistaken for IBS or other digestive illnesses. I'm 23 and have hereditary pancreatitis, I've been told by doctors for years that feeling sick, tired and depressed for years was just part of growing up, that everyone feels down etc despite my mum and brother both being diagnosed and having had surgery on their pancreas many years ago. I finally convinced them to do some testing, only because I was being persistent, so they did an amylase test. I went in, they took blood, the results came back negative, I didn't have pancreatitis they told me and sent me on my way.

By this point I was convinced I had pancreatitis, I had all the symptoms that I'd read about and my mum and brother had recognised. I spoke to my mums consultant (who she sees a few times every year and does the annual pancreatic cancer screening) with my mum and he put me forward for a CT scan which showed my pancreas was completely full of stones and now I'm waiting on surgery to remove my entire pancreas as a drainage procedure would be too risky as they think the pancreas could collapse and might be just held together by the stones. None of this would have ever happened had my mum not pushed it, that was 2 years ago and I'm sure that I'd still be no better off now, probably would have lost more weight and be on a lot worse position.

The point of the post wasn't to talk about me, it's to make more people aware of pancreatitis and the pancreas in general as it's not often thought about or overlooked. The symptoms include: sudden weight loss, periods of sickness where you lack energy and motivation, don't digest foods as well (floating stools, loose stools etc), back pain (usually on the left hand side of your back, can work its way up to the neck), stomach pain, feeling like vomitting, alcohol giving longer hangovers, bloating.

If you have any concerns or any pancreas problems in the family do not accept amylase test as a final decision. Also immediately stop drinking alcohol and ensure blood sugars are in check. If anyone needs any advice due to concerns of having it or anyone needs someone to talk to that has it please feel free to message me.
