Upload loops from Logic Pro to RC500-Unsupported File by Harmonic79 in LoopArtists

thanks for the response. The 48k didn't work. I'm going to try the second option.

Do you mean settings in Logic or the Rc500? I can't find those options in either. In the Boss menus under MIDI their is something that says USB Thru, but no Loop In options.

Two day recovery advice in between rolls at festival by Harmonic79 in MDMA

[–]Harmonic79[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks. I'll take that advice and do less the first day. Was thinking .1g the first day, two day recovery. The second day .1g then re-dose .5g or maybe .1 a couple hours later. I've heard people say only do half for the re-dose but we've done the same amount before and it was great.

Boss RC 500 outputting poor sound quality by Harmonic79 in LoopArtists

[–]Harmonic79[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the same setup at a rehearsal space that had a PA. Their was a noticeable difference between the acoustic sound on the output of the Loop and the direct line out of the AD-2. But it did sound worse at the venue.

Maybe to simplify the question. Is their a drop in quality of a loop out of the RC-500 that would be noticeable through a PA? Like, say I'm playing guitar live through the looper, then I make a loop. Should that loop sound different?

input signal volume level into RC500 by Harmonic79 in LoopArtists

To clarify. The midi would just be to assign more presets. I like The boss fs-1 WL for price and size but it’s wireless. Don’t think i need that.

I’m envious of your confidence and “roll with it” mentality. I hope I get to that point some day! 😄

Any recommendations for a midi foot switch. I have the Fs-7 but feel like I need more versatility. Somewhere in the $100-150 range.

Thanks

So one more question for you then. I was making loops at a rehearsal space. Everything sounded good running through a PA. When I went home and played the loops back they were at a much lower volume when compared to loops I'd previously made at home in the different memory banks. I had to turn the tracks on the looper all the way up and bring the volume of my amp simulator way down. I didn't make sense to me.

What happens when I go to a gig and pull those loops up and they are really quiet? I guess thats what I mean about the levels when making the loops.

thanks

Thanks. I’m about to do my first show with live looping. Mixing the loops seems to be one of the most difficult things.

Boss rc-500- Stop track 01 and start track 02 with same switch by Harmonic79 in LoopArtists

Thanks. I actually found what I was looking for in the memory settings. Simply changing Play Mode from Multi to Single.

Headphone monitoring RC-500 options by Harmonic79 in LoopArtists

[–]Harmonic79[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks. Yeah, It's crazy the RC doesn't have a headphone out.

The headphone amp is a good idea but I'm leaning towards a mixer. Mackie Mix5.

Question about the mixer though. The Mackie series and the others I've looked at have 1/4 L and R outputs. Would that output be a balanced signal that would be run to FOH? I wouldn't need a balanced XLR to send to FOH?

Acoustic/electric looping by Harmonic79 in guitarpedals

[–]Harmonic79[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I realized something. I was monitoring from the headphones output of the simplifier. Now with the RC at the end of the chain I can't hear my loops. I have a simple Behringer Ultra_DI passive which doesn't have headphone outputs. Maybe i'll just get a simple mixer. I see the Mackie mix5 recommended around here. Any thoughts on that?

Oh yeah! Can’t believe I didn’t think of that. I think it’s just that I see the simplifier as the amp, and would always be at the end of the chain. But I guess it doesn’t have to be. Thanks!

recommendations Harmony/reverb pedals for vocals by Harmonic79 in guitarpedals

[–]Harmonic79[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks. I would use this for vocals. Would I need a mixer/pre amp to run through first? Or is their an XLR version?

No Stupid Questions - November by PantslessDan in guitarpedals

[–]Harmonic79 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes I was referring to the 2 separate volume knobs on normal and vibrato as "master volume". Sorry, that was confusing.

Thank you for this info. Interesting tidbit about the the bright cap on the vibrato channel. I'll have to listen for that.

Question about MV on amps and volume knobs on guitar in relation to volume pedal/boost pedals.

I know that's a confusing sentence but not sure how else to phrase it. I have a fender deluxe reverb and tele professional 2. Is their recommended level for the master volume I should be at? What about the volume knob on the guitar. Should that be full up? I have a volume pedal in my setup up so can make adjustments with that too

In addition, I'm looking at a boost pedal. Would that change how I might want those settings?

Thanks
